Ron Paul would pull all U.S. forces home. All of them. He has no understanding of the word “logistics” and even less understanding of the diplomatic carnage that he would create.

When a country really and truly wants our troops out, we pull them out. France in the 60s and the Philippines in the 90s are good examples.

Some countries (Germany, Britain, Italy, Japan) want our troops there for the localized economic boost that our bases create.

Other countries (South Korea, Kuwait, Turkey) want our troops there because it helps maintain stability.

Pulling them out of all of those countries would be a debacle, and could lead to some fairly serious regional wars.

But he understands none of this.

This is coming from a guy who thinks a counts a couple of Marines guarding an embassy a ‘military base’ and says their being their is unConstitutional.

I guess he missed Article 2, Section 2, Subsection 2 authorizing Ambassadors.

..unless of course, he thinks Ambassadors should not be protected.
