I got an email from Christine O’Donnel endorsing Romney a few days ago. You had Gov. Christie if NJ endorsing Romney. Now Gov. Haley endorsing Romney.

The establishment is panicing that thier chosen one is not doing well in the polls. Romney has never gotten above 23 percent in the GOP polls. The establishment is pulling out the stops to get RINO Romney a boost. It aint gonna happen.

Romney is a despicable creature. I think him and his whole ugly rotten New England family are worthless subhuman scum.

LBJ thought, as did Goldwater, and myself, and others who've thought much about it, that the American electorate is organized into a Bi Modal Saddle. There is no broad middle, and there are no moderates.

The above is a fantasy, not a reality. Sorry.

Just anecdotally, on a personal level, I know only at most 3-4 people who AREN'T in the broad middle, politically, and many dozens who are in the middle.

The number of those who are fiscal conservatives but social liberals, especially, in the country ALONE is vast - and there are plenty of other types of people in the "Mushy Middle."

The only way someone could convince themselves of the falsehood that there are no moderates is someone who only sits at their computer and reads FR and DU, and think that the posters represent the country.

I’ll vote for Romney if my guy doesn’t make it and Romney does.

Romney is a pro-abortionist RINO.

I thought that Haley had promised NOT to make an endorsement ( if indeed she was in fact going to make one ) until just BEFORE the SC primary.

This seems a dumb move for her. The Iowa and NH polls are all over the place..changing daily..Mitt could well LOSE NH..she shoudl have waited until after the NH primary.

Well, let's see what DeMint does..

I caught the first third of the debate, then just saw Newt’s clips from after that.

What did Paul say? He almost sounded reasonable the little bit I’d heard of him.

Must be something in the water in S.Carolina. Jim DeMint endorsed Romney in 2008 and now Nikki Haley takes the plunge for Willard. The worst pick possible.

Obama isn't running scared, he's chomping at the bit to have Romney (or Gingrich) as his opponent.

Not being a big endorsement fan myself, this doesn’t effect my opinion of her. I do know that Mittens got in there to help her when she was running in that tough Primary. If Palin was running, I would guess she would have endorsed her instead considering that she gave her the same boost in that Primary.

This is the main reason that endorsements are a joke to me. They are usually just traded favors among pols. I can’t imagine any thinking voters leaning toward some other candidate switching to Mittens on this backing.

She said she would endorse after the voters had seen enough of the candidates to form a good opinion for themselves.

Why on earth would Obama be afraid of the man who was trounced by the guy Obama trounced?

Obama is empowered by his hate of every one, it’s all or nothing with these types of narcissist idiots cultivating idiocy.

No one can communicate with this bonehead and he believes no one will ever dare boot him out and jail him, so someone else is going to have to pay for it.

Romneyians are naive idiots: they are like Gingrich, they want us to pay for Zero’s bills and not have to confront him and his hate cult of doom.

You are, to say the least, NUTS. The guys who win elections in this country don't run to the right in primaries and then to the left in general elections. In fact, you do that YOU LOSE.

You run on your general agreement with your base of voters who have coalesced into one of the two major parties. You then peel off a faction from the other side with an appeal that DOES NOT RENOUNCE YOUR BASE IN ANY WAY.

There is NO MIDDLE. American politics is ruled by the mathematics of the single member district.

Didn't you ever notice that Europeans use party list voting ~ and in general don't require a candidate from XYZ to actually reside in XYZ. They end up with multiple parties!

It's not because they are not human beings ~ it's because the mathematics to win with party list voting is vastly different than the math of the single-member district.

The most noticeable manifestation of the single-member district is having TWO PARTIES, each of which is organized differently. The Democrats are organized around special interests. You can advance through the party chairs by first advancing through your special interest's chairs ~ or vice versa.

Republicans are organized around classes ~ e.g. businessmen, doctors, and even classes that are related more to religion than anything else. Plus, we also have the anti-slavery core. They founded the party.

The people you perceive to be "moderates" are simply being polite to you. They'll go off and vote for their coalition, and you yours. They are not trying to convince you to vote for their candidates because they know you are too set in your mind.

You might ask them some day if they think of you as a moderate.

What did Paul say? He almost sounded reasonable the little bit I’d heard of him.

On foreign policy, Paul went completely off the reservation saying we killed a million Iraqis and that it is our policy that is driving Iran to get nukes but also saying there is no evidence they are working to get them. He got two dings from the mods but kept on foaming.

New England family?

Romney and his wife are both from Michigan. The Romney family were prominent Michigan Republicans in the 1960s and 1970s, and the family continued to be active in Michigan politics for many years.

I am not sure how many Romneys moved from MI to MA, but to my knowledge Mitt Romney is the only one who is politically significant.

We can blame Romney for lots of things, but being a blueblood New Englander isn't one of them.

Oh, come on now! Really??? Look, Romney and Paul are my absolute LEAST favorite choices for the GOP nomination, but to say you’d rather vote for the lawless, reckless, and destructive America-hating Muslim Marxist currently occupying the Oval Office over Romney is a bit extreme, don’t ya think?

I repeat... I do NOT want Romney as our nominee (and I still don’t think he’s going to get it). But even if that worst case scenario comes to fruition, he would still sign far more conservative legislation into law than Obama. But make no mistake, a Romney nomination would be a MAJOR golden opportunity blown yet again by the stupid spineless GOP establishment.
