Issa expands DEA probe to include money laundering

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) has requested a briefing with the Justice Department over a news report that U.S. law enforcement officials helped Mexican drug cartels launder millions of dollars into the country.

The chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee made the request in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, in which he questioned DOJ head’s ability to lead the agency.

Issa has been investigating the DOJ’s authorization of a botched gun-tracking operation for most of the year and has increasingly criticized Holder, who is set to appear before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday.

“The existence of such a program again calls your leadership into question,” said Issa in his letter. “The managerial structure you have implemented lacks appropriate operational safeguards to prevent the implementation of such dangerous schemes. The consequences have been disastrous.”

According to an article published in the New York Times on Sunday, undercover agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) helped transport millions of dollars in cash across the U.S.-Mexico border in an effort to study and dismantle the trafficking routes of drug cartels.

The article said the DEA allowed the drug cartels to continue functioning as they tracked their money moving methods

This thing just gets bigger & bigger & bigger —it’s the biggest political scandal in US history.

Issa is not a lawyer, and yet the job he’s doing is simply amazing.

Issa is a hero. He couldn’t be doing a better job..!

Issa is one of the VERY few I still have any faith in.

An Atty Gen who permits uniformed Black Panthers in combat boots to slap truncheons into their gloved firsts ON TAPE on election day in front of a polling station:

A POTUS rumored to be Muslim, a crack-smoker and a bisexual:

Would they do this?

Is there anything such men would NOT do..?

It’s not like Issa will actually DO anything but expose them and not get any media coverage.

I think the so-called “stimulus” might be one of the biggest scandals ever too. Where did the money really go? We may never know, where is Issa investigating that?

Maybe you should send Issa a new ruler to whack their wrists with, because I don’t see him doing anything other than making noise.

HOLY SH*T!

It just keeps getting more and more shocking every day.

Our government is becoming a criminal enterprise.

Perhaps this kind of disclosure starts to explain some of the otherwise inexplicable things we see our Government doing, especially regarding what is going on at the Mexican Border

When the GOP Establishment supported RINO candidate becomes President, I predict that Issa will forgo any further investigations into these horrible events, leaving the victims of this scandal without justice. This is the standard of every new Presidential administration when it takes office. Their pattern is to complain about political malfeasance, threaten lawsuits over withholding of information, threaten arrests for alleged criminal conduct, promise to do this, to do that, and then forget about everything once they are in power.

Mark my words.

Maybe, but I bet if Newt is the nominee he will use it during the campaign.

Issa is not a lawyer, and yet the job he’s doing is simply amazing.

No lawyers needed when he has the help of David Codrea and Mike Vanderbeogh at Sipsey Street Irregulars.

Early on I said these guys deserve a Pulitzer. If not for them, no one would know ANY of this.

Yep, agreed. But I would bet that both of them could think of a better recognition than a Pulitzer. That would be keeping bad company.

Can you imagine how bad Holder and Obozo hate these citizens. The Left’s worst nightmare, a citizen mob after the traitorous bastards.

Common knowledge is that the mafia of the Chicago type makes millions dealing drugs. Where does the mafia get those drugs? The Obozo has the previous Chicago Mayer's brother as his Chief of Staff, the head of the AFL-CIO as one who frequently visits Obozo in the White House and the Obozo bolsters the Unions at every opportunity to the extent that the NLRB sues private firms that take action to avoid unionization of it's employees and he berates any politician who tries to eliminate union influence in their state's employee ranks. Lets not forget the government's lack of action to secure the border with Mexico and then sues any state that tries to enforce their own immigration law.
It is beginning to appear that the Obozo and Holder authorized Fast and Furious and laundering of drug money as a means to do their part in aiding the drug trade for who, the Chicago mob. May sound like a stretch but there are too many smart people involved and this goes way beyond ineptness.
