Zeta soldiers launched Mexico-style attack in Harris County
The Houston Chronicle ^ | November 22, 2011 | DANE SCHILLER

Posted on 11/23/2011 7:21:11 AM PST by LOC1

The mission was supposed to be a textbook "controlled delivery" - a routine trap by law enforcement officers using a secret operative posing as a truck driver to bust drug traffickers when their narcotics are delivered to a rendezvous point.

Instead, things spun out of control. Shortly before the marijuana delivery was to be made Monday afternoon, three sport-utility vehicles carrying Zetas cartel gunmen seemingly came out of nowhere and cut off the tanker truck as it rumbled through northwest Harris County, sources told the Chronicle.

They sprayed the cab with bullets, killing the civilian driver, who was secretly working with the government. A sheriff's deputy, who was driving nearby in another vehicle, was wounded, possibly by friendly fire.

Clear example of drug cartel violence "spilling over" from Mexico into Houston, 300 miles from the border. Why is this not highlighted on national news?

The Federal Government continues to fail at its primary duty to protect America. The implications are clear.

"We are not going to tolerate these types of thugs out there using their weapons like the Wild, Wild West," said Javier Pena, the new head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's Houston Division. "We are going after them."

And that is why all four suspects are still alive./s

The sad part of this is that the Obama Administration is on the side of the Zetas and they know it.

Some people want a moat full of alligators on the border, Obama said. No, we want an administration that takes the side of the American people against drug dealers and violent criminals.

re brazen attack over 300# of pot/executing an informant

Perhaps LE should get a clue. This wasn’t about drugs, it was about who owns the ground. Clearly the Mexicans believe they own it now. Odd isn’t it that the Zetas appeared out of thin air. Guess the thin-skinned line wasn’t paying attention. Until the fed gets w/ the program this sort of event will continue to occur and escalate.

Texas DPS fight with Cartels

Rick Perry implemented this team. I realize he doesn't have that many fans here, but watch how these cartels get chased into the river and back to Mexico.

Once they hit the water, they are on sovereign territory and our guys have to stand and watch. Sickening.

We're in yet another undeclared war.

We are invaded and attacked.

The government doesn't care. The Cabinet doesn't care. Obama doesn't care. Both houses of Congress don't care. The media doesn't care. The pundits and National Committees of both parties don't care. The legal profession from the Supreme Court down through Holder and the various Bar Associations don't care. Academia doesn't care. Big business and big unions don't care. Big Religion and Big Foundations don't care. Wall Street and the Wall Street Occupiers don't care. Our perfumed high-brass military and Jerk Chiefs of Staff don't care.

The nobody casualties of these undeclared wars would care, but they're dead.

Napolitano: Mexico violence hasn’t spread to US

“U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano said Thursday that security on the southern U.S. border “is better now than it ever has been” and that violence from neighboring Mexico hasn’t spilled over in a serious way.”

Methinks this applies.

The state won't shutdown the border, the feds won't shutdown the border, what's a citizen to do?

Fact is,the federal government is actively fighting those who attempt to enforce immigration law and border enforcement going back decades.

Remember the Minutemen movement? Primarily made up of elderly concerned citizens. George Bush labeled them as “vigilantes”.

Border agents routinely jailed for doing the work Mexicans won't do. Two of which during the Bush admin.

Violence stemming from human/drug trafficking is not new. It's been an everyday occurrence in border states for years, just now escalating out of control.

All the dollars spent on law enforcement in the interior over the years, the billions upon billions spent of this stupid damn war on drugs, we could have built a fence along the entire border.

Buried it twenty feet below the surface, towered it fifty feet above the ground, electrified, place motion sensors every so many yards, cameras, drones, boots....you name it.

Our reps have chosen to pour billions into a huge black hole year after year after year with no accountability what so ever.

Just a thought. Hey, Uncle Sugar, get the hell outta the way and let ordinary citizens take care of the problem.

I can absolutely guarantee there would be thousands of law abiding citizens with personal weapons camping out on private farm and ranch land in weekly shifts delighted to come to the aid of this nation.

That border would become impenetrably within weeks. Doing the job the feds won't do!

Just sayin.

Only problem with a wall is 73% of the Texas-Mexico border is on private property. How many millions of acres taken in by imminent domain? I thought conservatives opposed big government taking over our private property rights.

Surveillance is the way to go. Get assets into the air and boots on the ground. Strategic fencing in urban areas where municipalities own the real estate.
