A pair of dolphins may have died after being fed drugs by ravers after a second animal died. Police looking into the deaths in Connyland, Lipperswil, Switzerland, initially thought the deafening music from the rave may have killed dolphins Shadow and Chelmers. But zoo vets are awaiting toxicology test results to see if they were poisoned by narcotics thrown into their enclosure during the rave. Shadow was found soon after the event but Chelmers died two days later after a 'drawn out and painful' death. Connyland keeper Nadja Gasser told local media: 'The death was very drawn out and painful. The death went on for over an hour. It was horrendous. I have not been able to sleep since.' 'When we went to start the dolphin training we noticed the same thing that had happened to Shadow was happening with Chelmers. 'He was drifting under the water and was clearly in trouble and so we jumped into the water. We tried to hold him. He was shaking all over and was foaming at the mouth. 'Eventually we got him out of the water. His tongue was hanging out. He could hardly breath. He was given adrenalin, but it didn't help. After an hour the dolphin died,' she added. And dolphin expert Nadja said: 'I do not think Chelmers or Shadow died of natural causes. I think our dolphins have been poisoned.' Now Swiss prosecutors have confirmed that are investigating the deaths of both dolphins. Public prosecutors department spokesman Patrick Muller said: 'We are investigating. We are looking into the death of both dolphins this week.' Furious animal activists say they warned both the marine park and local planners - who gave permission for the rave - of the dangers before the event.

And Connyland would never con us.
Poor dolphins.
I honestly don’t understand people who can do these kinds of things to animals.
“...dolphins who....”
Dolphins are people!?!?!?
Ya, toss the ravers in jail, but let’s not pretend animals are human!
More J-school nonsense!
You honestly don’t understand? If they’re willing to feed drugs to their friends and themselves, then they will have no problem feeding it to animals.
I understand that, but I fail to understand meaningless destruction.
Destruction for the sake of destruction.
” Two dolphins who died after two-day techno party at marine park ‘were fed drugs by ravers’”
The dolphins were last seen alive dancing poorly while twirling glo sticks in their flippers.
They’re getting high. Dopers don’t see it as destruction. They see it as liberation (from the sense? from their money?).
Destruction for the sake of destruction describes too many people today. You (and I) do not understand that mindset so we are not going to understand the idiots that think that is such fun.
“Und now, ve daance...”
This is one of the sickest stories I have seen in a long time (outside of the all too typical daily grind of man’s inhumanity to man).
Dolphins have been known to come to the rescue of humans at sea.
I doubt the ravers did it on porpose. (sorry, couldn’t resist)
I bet the ravers gave the dolphins several hits of Ecstacy. And if the dolphins were given adrenaline after that forget about any chance at life.
Comedian Pablo Francisco knows all about Ecstasy.

While he was doing that, I walked over to a place called the Oyster Bar.
A real dive. But I knew the owner; he used to play for the dolphins.
I said, "HI GILL!" (You have to yell, he's hard of herring.)
One of the best routines ever! Thanks for reminding me!
I would have posted more but I’ve got a haddock.
“The 99%” at play.
It is really sad. Especially the description of their suffering. :(
Alpha: Fa!
Dr. Jake Terrell: Well fa... you've had quite a day haven't you?
