Baring your soul? Yikes.
Sorry but Bachmann impresses me least here.
Yes any one of those on stage would be better than Obummer.
Agreed.
Tears for herman’s story. He broke down and it made me tear up too.
Notice to all black liberals: his biggest challenge even growing up in a racist time in the south, was not racism! It was cancer, and the love of his wife got him through.
Yes. It was a great story.
I wish perry had said the Almighty instead of Jesus. But that’s ok. Not sure how perry feels about us Jews.
Loving these personal histories. This is amazing. This should have been seen by every American.
What does that mean?
What does a Jew feel about us Christians?!
Yes it is refreshing to hear a discussion without attacking each other. Without Gotcha games.
If Obama were at this table, asked to divulge details of his past and how it affected him, he would say “present.”
What does that mean?
What does a Jew feel about us Christians?!
This jew: Utter respect. Gratitude for your support of Israel. Admiration for your faith and strength and piety. Gratitude for your influence in starting this country and including our legal traditions and including us.
I think that from his perspective as a Chritian, it’s best to say it as such. It was a personal story, and I think that if he were defending morality, it probably would’ve been said differently.
Whether you’re Jewish or Christian, you’re worshipping the same God. It’s splitting heirs on how you get there. And yes, personal stories are far more amazing - they connect with the individual more so than a lecture on public policy.
Yep...although I am monitoring the games on the big screen and FR & the debate on the laptop, most people are just not that much of a political junkie.
I am under the impression that Perry has a ton of respect for the Jewish faith. I think his support of Israel is deeply rooted in his faith as a Christian.
I like to joke with my Jewish friends by saying that we believe the Old Testament, so therefore I'm Jew-ish. This isn't about me, so I'll close for now. :)
In defense of Yaelle, I think that if Perry had been Jewish, his story would’ve been about Temple. There’s really no difference from a human perspective. We all believe in God.
Whether or not you believe that salvation comes through Christ is irrespective to the American Judeo-Christian ethic. That’s why we have that term. It all begins with the core belief in God and our mortality.
I am liking perry much much more today. His iq in my estimation just went up 20 points.
I liked Bachman’s story too.
Crying again. Santorum baby... Omgosh.
Is there a place that the entire thing can be seen uninterrupted?
Good answer.
A little off-topic, but Christians have the utmost respect for the Jewish faith.
We believe that via Jesus, we have been “MADE” Jews, the chosen race.
We believe that God’s chosen race is the Jewish race. We believe that we are become “chosen” via Jesus’ sacrifice and our acceptance of that.
Understand, that Christians are Christians because of Jesus...not just the “Almighty”.
Governor Perry is correct in ascribing his forgiveness and salvation to Jesus.
Thanks for your answer.
That was a great human story “We”. Gotta love Mrs Cain (even thou she is a democrat).
I meant to say that as a Christian, I believe the Old Testament.
