Cops Find Passed-Out Mom, Kids, Heroin Needles In Bathroom
Woman Cooking Heroin In Hopple St. Restaurant, Police Say

Officers responding to the Wendy's in the 1900 block of Hopple Street on Wednesday said they found Rebecca Seals passed out in a locked bathroom stall. The prosecutor said she overdosed.
Police said Seals' three children, ages 7, 3 and 6 weeks, were in the stall with her, along with used heroin needles on the floor.
Seals' attorney said she is employed as a nurse. Her residence is in Fairfield.

"Was" seems more likely. Her future employment prospects may be limited to Wendy's (though perhaps not the one where she was found passed out).

I guess in a Liberaltarian world she’d be woken up and sold coffee and asked if she can afford a taxi home, or at least somewhere else but there.
In the real world people have empathy for her and compassion for the kids who deserve to live and be raised in a normal, safe, home.

Have to wonder if there is any trace amounts of heroin in the 6 week old babies system.
As a nurse, I can tell you that a health care worker like this WILL NOT lose their job. Instead, the hospital will put it’s arm
around you, tell you everything’s gonna be ok, and hold your job while they ship your ass off to rehab.
We complain about this garbage all the time. You piss off the wrong person vis a vis office politics & lose your job. But rip off drugs & get high, they’ll put you in “recovery” then give you your job back after you finish rehab. What a freaking joke.

As sad has it is for the kids to have terrible parents, evern worse perhaps - I imagine the drugs in-utereo (sp?) have messed up the baby and perhaps the other children as well.
Obviously some guys’ fault somewhere.
Feel bad for the kids and 3 week-old baby. Probably going through withdrawl.

So, I'm guessin' a little pot is no big deal.
I was going to hire an EMT one time. He showed positive for PCP on his pre-employment drug screen. I assumed it was a false positive and told the guy that I would break procedure and sent it to a lab for verification (somthing we didn’t normally do for applicants). When I told him that, he told me not to bother and left. I was shocked.
Most nurses I know who smoke pot speak pretty freely about it - even at work.
Can’t say I’d ever admit to illicit drug use in public like that. Dumbasses.
No, I’ve never smoked it before. Drinking....that’s a whole different story
