“Lazy Americans” is the same refrain that Africans have when they drive through much of DC, and other “urban” areas. I wonder if he thought about it while golfing, playing basketball, or dreaming about Larry Sinclair.
In Obama’s world, everything he has done has been correct. It is just the citizen that has gotten lazy, not kept up with science and math like the rest of the world, so if only the citizens were pulling their weight, Obama’s policies would work.

Saying Obama is calling Americans lazy seems like a mischaracterizaton. What's lazy is Obama's theory as to why business doesn't come here. I'd say it has more to do with the tax, regulatory environment along with the cost advantage of using third world labor. But Obama is too lazy to bother thinking about it much. So he just says something offensive because it suits his character.
Punish hard work by taking more profits away and redistribute it to the irresponsibile (minus a 50% government overhead cut) and the producers will get lazy quick. It’s the reason socialism destroys prosperity. For the envious left that’s a feature not a bug.
