Heh heh heh heh.

Check out the smug look on Pelley's face just before Newt lowers the boom on him.

I laughed my a$$ off on that one. Pelly thought he was so clever and had hit Gingrich with the ultimate “gotcha” Obama/Eric Holder style definition of the Rule of Law.

It was priceless listening to the audience escalate their reaction to Newt's response.

Pelley whispers under breath, no to Newt.

If Scott Pelley is so adament about that his postion is the correct one under US law.

I would love if anybody has any CBS programs condeming Obama for killing of Samir Kahn or Anwar Awlaki

That was so great, loved watching it again this morning. Wished they’d have shown Pelley’s smug face afterward.

The Left is scared poopless their man Bammy will be reduced to a babbling, teleprompt-reading loser in a debate with Newt because he doesn’t let democrats or moderators get away with nonsensical statements.

Pelley works for See-BS does he not?

Have to twist your brain into a pretzel to get an on air job with them I think! That is assuming you have a brain in the first place. I’m not convinced Pelley did.

Its always entertaining to watch Newt turn the screws on these libtard know nothings. You would think after awhile they would know not to ask for it. LOL!

This is why Newt is so attractive--while his answer is intuitively right, none of the other candidates up there could have so articulately a) disassembled the fraudulent question and then b) come close to that response.

Pelley reveals the media agenda by jumping into the debate, and the reason why these a-holes' questions should never automatically be taken at face value. They are dishonest, and they are America's enemies, and they need to be treated as such.

Looks like Pelly will need to be carried out of there in one of those plastic bags that dog owners carry when walking the dog..in cas Fido leaves a "souvenir".

Wow, that ones going to leave a mark!

I'm finding it amusing that these leftist media moderators that try to 'expose' the conservative mindset end up getting their tush handed to them publicly. I imagine Pelly either found a rock to crawl back under, or he's planning his revenge at a later date.

A real man would say; "Ok, you got me. You're right."

Even with his perosnal baggage and some questionable positions in the past Newt is so superior to anyone else running not to mention how far above 0dumbo he is I will work hard to get newt nominated.

His brilliance not to mention his strong personality seem to me to be the characteristics we need for our POTUS. Bewt won’t be kowtowing or apologizing for being an American

I believe he sees the direction we need to go and do not worry about some of his past decisions ( hugging pelosi for one)

It was a simple mistake...

We read Miranda rights to German soldiers during World War II, right? And granted them full access to our court system and a free attorney if they lacked money to pay for one, right? I'm sure that's how it worked.

How could Gingrich not know this? /s

Pelley is clearly clueless on history, consider

To all
This needs to be sent to the CBS News Cretin who mouthed no to Gingrich regarding the whacking of Al-Alwaki.

“.....
Martin James Monti, Peter Delaney, the SS-Standarte Kurt Eggers are Americans who are known to have fought for the Germans in World War II in the Waffen-SS or any other units. There are German records of five Americans fighting in the Waffen-SS in May 1940, American records of Monti's treason case, and also records of eight American soldiers killed during their service to the Germany. ...”

I am sure there were American citizens of Italian descent who went back and served Mussolini and died in that effort.
Probably even a few American citizens of Japanese descent who went back and died for the Emperor. Probably other examples too in past conflicts!

So in short it's been done before !

Now if they want to argue about a need for declaration of war in the “War on Terror” I somewhat agree. Though functionally when Bush was voted authorization it was a declaration of war. I would have proffered one that actually used those terms. Counter argument was how do you declare war on non-state entities, my retort to that was Washington is full of wordsmith lawyers who could generate the right prose, they should have gone and done it!

Saw the comments at the CBS site.
LOL! Libertarians usually love Patrick Henry!

“Those who declare war against the human race may be struck out of existence as soon as they are apprehended. He was not executed according to those beautiful legal ceremonies which are pointed out by the laws in criminal cases. The enormity of his crimes did not entitle him to it. I am truly a friend to legal forms and methods; but, sir, the occasion warranted the measure.
A pirate, an outlaw, or a common enemy to all mankind, may be put to death at any time. It is justified by the laws of nature and nations. “
