Weve all had human moments. President Obama is still trying to find all 57 states. Ronald Reagan got lost somewhere on the Pacific Highway in an answer to a debate question. Gerald Ford ate a tamale without removing the husk. And tonight Rick Perry forgot the third agency he wants to eliminate. Just goes to show there are too damn many federal agencies.
The governor said it best afterwards: Im glad I had my boots on, because I sure stepped in it tonight.
While the media froths over this all too human moment, we thought we would take this opportunity to ask your help in doing something much more constructive: write us to let us know what federal agency you would most like to forget.
Is it the EPA and its job-killing zealots? The NLRB and its czar-like dictates? The edu-crats at the Department of Education who aim to control your local curriculum?
Send your answer to forgetmenot@rickperry.org, and if you are on twitter join us in using a new twitter hashtag: #forgetmenot. And, if you could, throw in a $5 contribution for every agency you would like to forget. We hope you have a long list. And we promise we will write down every last idea. So we dont forget.
Still standing in our Boots,
Team Perry
Just me thinking out loud . . . Perry's debate performances hurt him, and last night hurt him bad. But on the plus side is his willingness to serve, and to be placed outside his comfort zone.
I am thankful for his being part of this race. Let's NOT beat up our own candidates!
Perry on Megyn Kelly right now. Asking people to go to webiste and list Federal agencies they would like to forget.
I’m not a Perry support but this is absurd.
Perry is suppose to quit? Just turn his back on his millions of supporters and campaign workers months before the 1st vote is even cast?
Don’t know who is funnier on this vaudeville show Perry or Cain.
Right...and if someone like Romney or Cain had said this, the Perrywinkles would have been out for blood. This was a bad gaffe...nuf said.
Uh, oh, tamale's have husks? That explains everything......
I like Perry more than ever now, but I’m on the Cain Train
Sorry, it just doesn't strike me as the federal case some are making it out to be. So he made a flub...big deal.
After the next debate starts, he should have two of his staff roll out a telepromtper and then he should quip “now I see why he uses one of these.” It would bring down the house.
He was having a good night until that moment.
He should not drop out, he should fight until the bitter end and with the cash he'd already raised, he'll be good until Super Tuesday.
Coulter says he should get out and endorse the front runner and by front runner she names Romney specifically.
But I’m sure whichever Department goes away ... “It will affect all 57 States”

****** “ I’m with you. At this point I’m not for or with anyone, “ ******
ditto but I am leaning Cain / Newt or Newt / Cain and I would like to share this ...
