Is Herman Cain Experienced Enough to be President?
American Thinker ^ | November 6, 2011 | Selwyn Duke

People use many words today without fully knowing what they mean -- or should mean. "Tolerance," "gender" and "truth" come to mind. But then there is one that rears its head every campaign season: "experience."

We've heard this word a lot lately during discussion of latest GOP frontrunner Herman Cain. Many have warned that while he may be appealing and engaging, he lacks the experience to take the helm of the world's only superpower. Some of these critics say that Cain's supporters are making the same mistake Barack Obama's did in 2008: they're choosing a greenhorn based only on a cult of personality. But the mistake is on the critics' part. Because whatever Cain may or may not be, inexperience is not his problem. In fact, I'm going to shock you.

It never was Obama's.

The Constitution says yes. The voters will decide. And so far, they seem entranced. GO HERMAN!!

I dislike this ‘are they experienced enough’ question. Look what experienced politicians have done to us.

Have not read article - yet - but even ‘not going there’ feel compelled to answer per IMHO; that Hermain is qualified; but yes, he does not have experience to ‘step’ into Washington and into Foreign Affairs. Cetainly; he learn and grow; but with an expense of time - now a luxury -per dealing with our many crisis, ‘at hand’.

The Headline makes the article unreadable—it is another Politico style hit peace!
Cain has life experience not political which makes him overqualified to be a typical POLITICAL POTUS like Clinton or Obama.
Don't read this garbage just for the maladroit headline—the composition can't improve it!

Yes. In fact, he has the best experience.

Our political system is broken. It needs to be reformatted. The ONLY candidate who sees that is Cain. All the other merely want to tinker around with this or that and “fix” the system

This is why the professional political are all no go for 2012, none of them even see the real problem

Hell yeah! We saw in the last election that you don't have to know chit to be elected.

Cain has a bunch more experience that 0 had/has, and Cain actually operated something successfully.

Cain comes in way over 0's level of competence.

A less painful, corrective redo here/sigh and in a nutshell:

Certainly; he can learn and grow; but with an expense of time - now a luxury -per dealing with our many crisis, ‘at hand’.

Cain could always find an experienced ‘Cheney’ to pick himself for Veep and then lard his administration with supporters of ‘Cheney’s’ policies. It’s how you change a president against nation building into its biggest proponent.

Cain may not have any experience as POTUS but at least he has experience at being an American, which is more than can be said of some people.

Do bears crap in the woods?

Is Obama a radical marxist street organinzer who is way in over his head?

Are Obama’s college records sealed from public veiw?

Has unemployed stayed over 8% since Ibama has been in office?

Should Ibama’s approval ratings be in the teens?

Got it exactly backwards.

Going to yet another professional political clone to fix the broken political system is exactly the thinking that go us into this mess to start with.

And let us dispense with the nonsense about 0.

0 spent his whole career as part of the same political/media/ legal education system as the rest of the political Establishment. He may not have a whole lot of office holding experience but his whole life experience has been an apprenticeship to be in politics

Conservatives keep making this same mistake. You keep looking to the next drug addict to run the pharmacy.

We know how he does in a Corporate Boardroom. He is a Take Charge guy that can lift a sinking ship. Can he bring the same into the White House Situation Room, that is the question. I think so.

Cain was Presidential at the Cain/Gingrich debate last night. In fact, Gingrich would be a good Vice President. They complimented each other.

Go Cain/Gingrich 2012
