The State Department has awarded 4,453 permanent resident "Diversity Visa" applications to would-be immigrants from Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism that was recently implicated in a plot to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States.
The lottery program for Diversity Visas awards prospective immigrants with the chance to obtain a permanent residency visa. The 4,453 prospective Iranian immigrants will still have to pursue their visa applications on their own, according to the State Department’s website.
To be eligible, applicants must have at least a high school education or two years of work within the previous five years at a job that requires at least two years of training.
Iran’s intelligence services have been implicated in a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States by bombing a restaurant or public place in Washington, D.C.

The standards themselves are pretty low: a high school education OR employment in two out of the last five years. The high school education can be by third world standards which, admittedly, might be just as good as some places in the USA. The work experience can include anything from rag picking in Timbuktu to prison guard in Tehran.
The most stupid of all is that all eligible entrants are thrown into a single pot for random drawing. So, naturally, the overwhelming number of entrants are marginal candidates from eligible third world countries.

Iran is proud of the fact that their Al Quds force consists exclusively of soldiers who required at least two years of training before rising to their job destabilizing the West and our allies. I wonder if State is subsidizing their travel costs to get here too.

Some of those Iranians will no doubt be thanking God for their deliverance from the prison state of Iran, but mixed in among them will be terrorists who can’t wait to get to the U.S. and start planning attacks on us.
The State Department’s loyalty to the U.S. is high questionable in my judgment. They’ve long perceived that their job is to explain other nations to the U.S., rather than explain the U.S. to other nations.
Throw in the Baha’i, Christians, and the 4 remaining Jews, and I’d be OK with that.
This is simply insane. The "State Sponsors of Terror," will make sure the people they allow to come "meet" our requirements, but you can be sure they are sleeper cell types and to consider anything else is not only wrecklessly blind, it borders on treason IMHO.

For the record, individuals submit the applications, not the governments and the winners are chosen at random. However, when you accept applications from countries filled with anti-American zealots, it should be no surprise when most of the winners are also anti-American zealots.

George Schultz, Reagan's Secretary of State, was one of the few exceptions to this rule.
New recruits were asked to report to the chief for a brief exchange before they reported to their first foreign posting. Schultz had a globe on his desk and asked them to point to the country which they would be representing. Inevitably, the new recruit would point to their assigned post.
Schultz would rise from his desk, stick his finger on the United States and shout "No! Dammit! That is where you will be posted! This is the country you will be representing! Don't you ever forget it!"

Hard as it is to believe, my town does not have one Muslim Lesbian. Not a damned 1! How the hell are we supposed to compete in sophisticated international markets? There was a place that had an espresso machine, but until we have a gay Muslim outreach program, we will never be another Seattle.
