Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday that Iran's alleged ties to a plot to kill the Saudi ambassador in Washington marked a "dangerous escalation" of Tehran's sponsorship of terrorism.
"This plot, very fortunately disrupted by the excellent work of our law enforcement and intelligence professionals, was a flagrant violation of international and U.S. law and a dangerous escalation of the Iranian government's longstanding use of political violence and sponsorship of terrorism," Clinton told a think tank audience in Washington.
Clinton said Iran's alleged part in the conspiracy, which was revealed by U.S. law enforcement officials on Tuesday, showed Tehran was willing to flout established international conventions on protecting diplomats that it itself had signed.
"This kind of reckless act undermines international norms and the international system. Iran must be held accountable for its actions," Clinton said, noting that the United States had already imposed targeted sanctions on "individuals within the Iranian government who are associated with this plot and Iran's support for terrorism."

This whole thing stinks of another Clinton fabrication to divert attention. In this case from fast & furious which could, and more than likely will take down Clinton as well as Holder, and Obama if they don’t do some serious diversion such as this Iranian assault on Saudi Embassy thing.

A different perspective:
For years, Iran has been the supplier of IEDs that have been killing and maiming our troops. The evidence is absolutely clear on this.
But nothing was done.
Now, we unravel a complicated plot to use surrogates to murder a foreign Ambassador and the country is ready to go to war.
A foreign ambassador is worth far, far less than a US soldier who volunteeered to serve his country.
This is just another example of how we are creating an elite class that is granted special privileges while ordinary citizens are cannon fodder.
Are you serious? Do you really think this was all made up?

So let’s recap. We have 100,000 plus troops at Iran’s doorstep. We know Iran is killing American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Obama wants to be Iran’s friend. We pull troops out of there, leaving a token force. Iran pulls this crap.
Will we be sending everyone back? And to where since not one of our allies in the ME wants us 1000 miles near their country, thanks to Obamas supported Arab spring.

As the tide of public opinion changes against the Democrats and elections draw nigh, Democrats need a war to divert attention from what they have caused.
The question is not whether this is “made up.”
Iran wants to destroy Israel and America.
I have no doubt they are developing a nuclear warhead, that they will use the missile-guidance technology that Slick Willy Clinton sold them for campaign contributions, and that they will attempt to launch that nuke about 200 miles over earth, experimenting with the EMP hypothesis.
So, no doubt Iran would do something like this.
The question is, “Why now?”
Obammie the Commie is an unapologetic hater of America and has done everything he can to cozy up to the likes of Ihmanutjob and other Islamofascists.
The time to focus on Iran would have been a year ago, when we knew they were stepping up their nuclear program and when Israel had the perfect opportunity to take out their nuclear facilities. But Obammie the Commie and the Secretary of State, at that time, chose to turn against Israel, suggesting that their borders should go back to the 1967 borders and using other tricks to turn public opinion against Israel. So, when Iran was a peak threat, the administration turned public opinion to criticize Israel.
As Solyndra and Fast and Furious heat up and as it is becoming beyond doubt for anyone at room temperature that after over a trillion dollars of spending the economy is still headed for catastrophe, suddenly the Oval Office and the Secretary of State are shifting all attention to the Iranian threat.
Again, the question is, “Why now?”
This is politics, plain and simple.
Don’t let them use your patriotism and your healthy, natural, patriotic impulse to eliminate threats to your country against you.
