This whole Saudi Ambassador assassination plot thing out of Tehran could well be shaping up into a protracted Clintonistic Wag the Dog. Their timing is not really good when you think about it. This should have been saved for next summer. Unless Patrice Lumumba Obongo gets in there by Predators/J-DAMs, F-22 Raptors and Cruise Missiles plus Delta Force/Seals but no conventional ground troops, bombs them to kingdom come w/ little American casulties, initiates a leadership decapitation strategy against Ahmedinejahd and the mullahs, forces regime change, and is home in time for supper. The libs heads will explode, but 70%+ of the American People would be shouting "USA! USA! USA!" like at a football game, and re-elect him no sweat, jobs or no jobs. (I think). Would he start a war to be reelected due to plummeting poll numbers? Do chickens have beaks? Oh well, verify the facts. I cannot imagine the Saudis being behind this and wanting Obama for four more years (unless they like the way he bowed to their King).

For years, Iran has been the supplier of IEDs that have been killing and maiming our troops. The evidence is absolutely clear on this.

But nothing was done.

Now, we unravel a complicated plot to use surrogates to murder a foreign Ambassador and the country is ready to go to war.

A foreign ambassador is worth far, far less than a US soldier who volunteeered to serve his country.

The "plot" was stopped back in May-June when the perp confided in a DEA informant as his first wrong step toward jihad. There was never any risk to anybody, the guy was completely "controlled" and at most would have been given a pretend play-do bomb before his arrest.
