The Bizarre Statements of Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz
WSJ ^ | John Fund

Republicans are gleefully compiling "The Thoughts of Chairwoman Debbie," a collection of the bizarre statements made by DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

"We own the economy," she said this week. "We own the beginning of the turnaround, and we want to make sure we continue that pace of recovery" The economy, she said, "has turned around" since President Obama took office, leaving many reporters inquiring about rising unemployment numbers scratching their heads in puzzlement. "I've really seen such a velocity of spin with so little heft behind it," one told me.

Last week she said that Republicans "want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws. Their crime? Republican governors have recently signed laws that require voters to show photo ID at the polls, a position backed by more than 80% of Americans in many published surveys.

The week before that statement, Ms. Wasserman Schultz announced that the GOP was engaged in "a war on women," backing a Medicare reform plan that would allow insurance companies to "deny you coverage and drop you for pre-existing conditions." FactCheck.org declared her statements "simply wrong."

But her biggest faux pas may have come when she accused Republicans of being against having a U.S. car industry. "If it were up to the candidates for president on the Republican side, we would be driving foreign cars," she told reporters. "They would have let the auto industry in America go down the tubes."

According to Florida motor vehicle records, the Wasserman Schultz household owns a 2010 Infiniti FX35, a Japanese car.

Actually, what has become increasingly clear during from her short tenure as DNC chief is that Ms. Wasserman Schultz rarely touches on substance because she is too busy throwing out incendiary rhetoric that can't stand up to scrutiny

DWS (Dim-Witted Skeeve) is just following the Democrat mantra:

When the law is on your side, hammer on the law. When the facts are on your side, hammer on the facts. When neither one is on your side, hammer on the table.

Is there something about having the last name of Schultz that makes one a Lefty, heavy on the blithering idiocy? You have Ed Schultz, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Sergeant Schultz.....

No one qualified enough for party chair is dumb enough to take the job in the middle of an unstoppable train wreck. So from the list of unqualified, dumb Democrats the DNC chose a token Jewish female.

Never underestimate these people. Debbie is talking directly to the Party's base, not to us. Her comments appeal to and make perfect sense to the vast majority of hard core Democrat voters.

Never let it be said that the Democrats do not understand their base and how to relate to them. All of these comments have been professionally focus group tested with target audiences for the desired response. A lot of these types of seemingly crazy comments actually reflect the perceived reality of the Democrat base.

This reality may be hard to grasp for the average person here until it's pointed out that the median Democrat voter is a member of the 35% of the population that dropped out of High School because they could not could cope with the current American K-12 public school system, even as dumbed down as it is. Many have never worked a day in their lives and nor has much of their families for several generations.

The scary thing is that the percentage of the population of these types of voters are beginning to reach critical mass. They already have reached critical mass in California as we have seen by the results of the last California election cycle. The end result has been a seemingly permanent Democrat super majority in the California State Assembly that has been passing increasingly irresponsible and insane legislation that is on track to bankrupt the state and destroy it's economy

As the old saying goes, "As goes California, so goes the rest of the Nation" and Obama is trying to institute policies that out California even California's most extreme policies at the Federal level

No argument from me. Sounds like you nailed it.

When does CWII turn into a “shooting war”? It’s clear to me that we are a nation divided and are too far down the path to turn things around. Let’s just finish it and start over again. We’re wasting time and ammo is becoming more expensive and scarce.

I hate to say it but I still live in California, probably stuck here because I am now retired.
If you ever get the chance, rent the movie IDIOCRACY, it will describe California to a tee.

DWS is a pyromaniac in a field of strawmen. On top of that she has a voice like fingernails on a chalkboard and can make a freight train take a mile of dirt road.

If you put W-S and Howard Dean in a motel room together, Howard would blow strange sounds out of a parade Tuba and W-S would laugh her ass off and pound on the wall with a baseball bat.
