For a group of people that has such disdain for the MSM, some here sure are quick to believe whatever the MSM wants them to believe.

Just sayin.

A majority of FR supported Romney over McCain

Must've been before the purge. FreeRepublic as I recall didn't support Romney.

“If Cain is putting his campaign on hold for a month”

Which he’s not doing.

The liberals will do anything to make sure Romney gets the nomination. Using Cain as a stalking horse ... good probability. The rock think is only worthy of Dan Rather and his ilk.

Some historical background on that:

In several English-speaking countries, Ni##erhead or ni##er head is a former name for several things thought to resemble a black person's head. ..... The term was once widely used for all sorts of things, including products such as soap and chewing tobacco, but most often for geographic features such as hills and rocks. In the U.S., more than hundred "Ni##erheads" and other place names now considered racially offensive were changed in 1962 by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names, but many local names remained unchanged .... Ni##er Head, an island in North Queensland, Australia ..... Ni##erhead hunting camp, the former name of a hunting camp of Texas governor Rick Perry, renamed to "North Camp Pasture".

Years ago, maybe even in the 1800's, that name was carved on a rock. Years ago, Perry's FATHER LEASED that land as hunting land and PAINTED OVER that old name that had been carved on a rock who knows when, maybe a hundred years ago.

It is no more Rick Perry's fault that that land in Texas was named Ni##erhead before he was born than it is his fault that there is a Ni##gerhead, Yukon and a Ni##erhead, New Zealand right now.

Google Map of the region know as Ni##erhead, New Zealand

One thing is certain though: Rick Perry has been thoroughly smeared and the candidate at the top of the GOP polls today is ..... SURPRISE! ..... ... Mitt Romney.

This Mitt Romney.

Agreed. The author of the article is repugnant/ignorant.

People who bought into it, need to stop judging instantly.

As NBC’s thoughtful First Read points out this morning, Cain's promoting a book - and appears to be taking himself off the campaign trail for almost a month.

It's his Presidential campaign book, meaning this is about as absurd and contradictory of a hit piece as you can get.

And I see you are continuing your ridiculous and absurd comments about Cain endorsing Romney back in 2008 over John McCain.

Understood but he should have said he’d wait to get the facts. If he has instinctive emotional reactions to unsubstantiated accusatios, that’s not good in a President.

Methinks you may need to master "messaging". You are in overkill mode.

It becomes a broken record after awhile.

And then people stop listening to you.

Can't you add some new material?

Bald faced lie about Cain suspending his campaign. You know it. Your credibility is is zero—just like Obama. You belong in the Dem camp with crap like this.

we have sent messages to the elitist GOP for a couple of years now and they still win not step aside because they know all their power and money will dry up.
They went against Sarah and they will attack anyone who is against Romney.

Romney is a north east liberal on , well every issue

Homosexuality, forget overturning DADT and defending DOMA.
To about everything else

Oh, we do...however, the goal was to bash Herman Cain, not to bother with anything factual. And remember, the “real” reason Herman Cain is in the race is to help Romney defeat Perry ... nevermind the fact Herman Cain got in way before he or anyone else even knew that Rick Perry was planning on running and it was a strong conservative grassroots effort to encourage Herman Cain to get into the race in the first place.

No “Borking” of Perry, its a “Robt Byrding” of him.

That is who he is most like.

Thank you. Would you please add me to the Cain ping list? I’m not *decided* at this point in the least, but what I’ve researched on my own so far has me intrigued. I’d really like to learn more about him.
