Never forget, Huckabee hates Romney, he's watching Perry fall, and he has to think that he can beat Cain.
He didn't say "NO" to Cavuto.
I think he was putting out a message to the big donors who are currently courting Christie.
He's the next one up to try to stop Sarah Palin.
Stand by.

“reports he’s been approached by Republican activists”
I would say he has been approached by RINO’s.

Jeeze,
Not him again. I have my hands full trying to deal with Perry’s staff here, and before that Daniels, and now Huckster again.
Oh well, I’ll deal with him (again) when necessary.

Huck wouldn’t be all that good a president. He is socially conservative, but he hardly saw a big program he didn’t like. Huckabee addressing Congress would be like a farmer calling hogs to full troughs.
That said, an upcoming Palin or Cain (or maybe Perry, if he weathers this) presidency could find Huckabee useful in a cabinet post where he does not have a lot of impact on the budget.

I mean, after finding out that somebody even thought him a serious alternative at this point...I don’t want to hear another word about how they think Palin’s been jerking people around. Not a word. Not a peep. Not a grunt.

I’m happy with Huckabee’s decision not to run again. He should get on with his life, and quit kidding himself that he will ever be president.
