TAKES 10 SECONDS ... DO IT AND PASS IT ON Own a Gun? Please Keep This Moving Guess they were not happy with the poll results the first time so USA today is running another one... Vote now Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues. He does not believe the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the right to bear arms. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro- gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms. Here's what you need to do:

First - vote on this one. Second - launch it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published.

Agreed, if that distinction was offered in the question. I will always say that the 2nd supports the individual’s right to bear arms. When was the last time anyone in the MSM made any useful distinctions?

“The 2nd amendment recognizes the right to bear arms but does not bestow that right.” -——————

Well and rightly said!! The Bill of Rights defines or states rights that inhere in the person of each human being, and which the State (government) is obliged to defend, as are we all. No document of human composition “gives” or confers” rights. Our Declaration of Independence identifies the source of our innate rights.

They were all lost when I had them on a boat which overturned crossing the river one blustery winter day.

This you?

Second Amendment: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Perhaps you are troubled with the distinction between “bestow” and “recognizes”, as it relates to the actual words contained in the 2nd Amendment?

You sir are my red list brother! No one knows for sure how many arms are in the hands of private citizens - low estimates are around 200 million. Let’s just call it hundreds of millions. There is no way the progressives can go “door to door” and passively confiscate without it being noticed nation wide. It will require some sort of military state FIRST being imposed. By that time it won’t matter what the “laws” are any more. So, bye bye, and buy guns!

The right to keep and bear arms is a God given, innate right. The 2nd Amendment prohibits the federal government from infringing upon that right.

You are correct, but failing to vote Yes will only harm ourselves.

Nope. Voting "yes" means people acknowledge that the right is granted by a legislative action. Once so granted, it can be repealed by one.

This is an unalineable right, granted by God, which exists no matter what the government says.

The Government may suppress it, but they can't take it, any more than they can repeal the Law of Gravity.

If gunowners don't understand this en masse, then we're going to get bamboozled out of exercising that right in the future.

Ultimately, it is a trick question, on the order of "Have you quit _____ yet?", (yes or no), or "Have you ever been caught ______ ?" (yes or no).

No matter how you answer, they gotcha.

Actually deer will swim.

I have seen them swim the creek and some have been seen swimming the river from Virginia into maryland.

Just what is the point of “voting” in an on-line USA Today poll?

Lots of folks still don't get that these polls are just a way for the pollster to gauge their circulation.
