Secret Service Agent-Turned Senate Hopeful: I Like the President, but Policies Just Wrong
After more than a decade protecting presidents with the Secret Service, Daniel Bongino is currently running against the policies that the most recent president he worked under President Obama has moved along.
Bongino, who quit his job with the Secret Service in May to run for the Senate as a Republican in Maryland, told us on ABCs Top Line today that its nothing personal.
I like the president a lot personally. We had a good relationship. He was a wonderful man to me, and this is not any kind of a personal gripe, Bongino said.
Its strictly a political, ideological difference. His policies I think are just wrong. Were headed down a path I dont think we want to go down.
Bongino would become the first former Secret Service agent to serve in Congress. And his reason for running sounds similar to the rationale given by dozens if not hundreds of first-time candidates over the last few years.

Or -- he can be cordial at times and might be fun to watch at a party, but that's about it.
About time someone broke ranks and called “Bull$hit” on this president.
When you've been highly trained to protect even the likes of Obozo, you may just continue to use the meme that was ingrained.
If true, I'm glad to hear this.
I know of former SS people who say that the Clinton's treated them like dirt, but that the Dubya's were wonderful to them.
George W. like to barbecue for the agents at the ranch in Crawford.

Hes running for the Senate in Maryland... no chance in hell that will happen in this sorry ass liberal shxt hole..
I listened to his interview and came away with the opposite view. I think he will make an excellent senator.
He has seen both sides in the WH and guess what? He is NOT running as a dem.
He said “nice to me”. He didn’t say he was nice to everyone. Check it out! I believe Bongino might have received some favoritism because of race.
Something made him quit a good job and try to make a difference. I say kudos to him and hope he wins.
We need every R we can get in the senate, especially one who knows what goes on in the background of this WH.
Got a long road to hoe in Maryland, but why not give it your best shot?
I wish him well also but he’s got about as much chance as a dieing duck in a hail storm of winning a senate seat in that @$$hole state !
Well now nobody can argue that they weren’t given a decent option. Least we can do is work as hard as possible for him.

I agree 100%. Hope that Bongino gets elected by a landslide!
I knew someone in SS who was exposed to Barry and Mich and said Barry is a terrible, and that’s the word he used, person.
What race??
>I knew someone in SS who was exposed to Barry and Mich and said Barry is a terrible, and thats the word he used, person.<
My bud has a sister in the FBI stationed in L.A., and their security detail a year ago was in charge of a certain stretch of road. The SS, called on her supers and the story goes, Obama TOLD the SS to bring the FBI super to him and gave him a “sermon” on why there should be more agents close to the AP photogs.
Let’s just say the FBI guy was THIS close in wanting to strangle the kenyan klown.
I hope he wins.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
