Who's to blame for the continued failure of the Middle East peace process? Former President Bill Clinton said today that it is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu -- whose government moved the goalposts upon taking power, and whose rise represents a key reason there has been no Israeli-Palestinian peace deal. Clinton, in a roundtable with bloggers today on the sidelines of the Clinton Global Initiative in New York, gave an extensive recounting of the deterioration in the Middle East peace process since he pressed both parties to agree to a final settlement at Camp David in 2000.

OK. Thanks for letting us know Bill. Was in Netanyahu’s fault when Arafat turned down probably the best deal that’s been on the table - one that was horrible for Israel? If I were negotiating I would make recognition of Israel as an independent country with a right to exist an absolute precondition for any negotiations.
Bibi’s focus is on stopping the Pali’s from shooting thousands of rockets into Israel.

Bill Clinton blaming Benjamin Netanyahu for never-ending Palestinian intransigence on the mythical ‘peace process’ is like Obama still blaming Bush for the poor economy. It may placate the left who want Israel gone but it flies in the face of reality, as do most liberal theories. That Clinton delivered this fantasy with his usual smug certainty is just the classic liberal arrogance. They always have to believe they’re ‘really, really smart’. Yeah, right. So is my dog. He knows 3 tricks.
They have explicitly declared their intention to kill the Jews and refuse to acknowledge the existence of Israel. Pray tell, what is the basis of negotiations with such barbarians?
