The Palin family is going on offense against author Joe McGinniss, whose forthcoming book about Sarah Palin broke into the headlines thanks to a Wednesday National Enquirer report.
In a statement to reporters, Todd Palin described the book as "disgusting lies, innuendo, and smears." He cited the New York Times review of "The Rogue" as evidence the book should be discounted.
"This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in right next door to us to harass us and spy on us to satisfy his creepy obsession with my wife," Palin said of McGinniss. "His book is full of disgusting lies, innuendo, and smears. Even The New York Times called this book dated, petty, and that it chases caustic, unsubstantiated gossip."

I’d pay good money to see Todd open up some whoopass on that pansy McGinniss. :^)
I dig a man who will defend his wife.
The smear is that the politician cheated and used cocaine.....Isn’t that why the liberals loved clinton?
I would just repeat the NY Times quote, that it “chases caustic, unsubstantiated gossip,” and not give it any more attention and publicity.
Can’t he be sued for libel or slander if anything he pronounces is a lie? I would sue him blue!
This is authentic Todd Palin: it is also the best, cleanest way to deal with these loathsome lies.
Because this wasn’t just an attack on Sarah. It was a public attack on the Palin family from a guy who stalked them for years. So it’s good that the family gets just as publicly involved.
And also: this kind of slime sticks. For example: a large percentage of FReepers - to their shame - believed the lies immediately, using no kind of filter at all. Those fools might not have believed Sarah Palin denying it.
But Todd getting involved makes it blindingly obvious even to our reality-challenged FReeper colleagues that the denial is complete and total.
“Neither of those claims was repeated in Janet Maslin’s New York Times review, which offered this assessment of McGinniss’s contribution”
That is just flat out untrue.

“And these stories need not be consistent. The Rogue suggests that Todd Palin and the young Sarah Heath took drugs. It also says that she lacked boyfriends and was a racist. And it includes this: A friend says, Sarah and her sisters had a fetish for black guys for a while. Mr. McGinniss did in 2011 make a phone call to the former N.B.A. basketball player Glen Rice, who is black, and prompted him to acknowledge having fond memories of Sarah Heath. While Mr. Rice avoids specifics and uses the words respectful and a sweetheart, Mr. McGinniss eggs him on with the kind of flagrantly leading question he seems to have habitually asked. In Mr. Rices case: So you never had the feeling she felt bad about having sex with a black guy?

Either politico didn’t read the review, or they read it and put their own slimy spin on it.
But Todd getting involved makes it blindingly obvious even to our reality-challenged FReeper colleagues that the denial is complete and total.
Yup, FR has reached a new low in the last couple of days.
The threshold for successful legal action is very high for public figures, which Palin most definitely is. Also such actions bring all kinds of legal dangers of discovery - which innocent people have good reason to fear in the crazy world of US jurisprudence.
The only way that the legal attrition involved in suing this low-life would make any kind of sense would be if Palin wasn’t going to run. So take heart in the fact that she isn’t suing :0)
Todd, invite Joe to go hunting with you.
Thank goodness there were only about twenty or so of those trollops doing that. It was one of the most disgusting examples of lack of decorum that FR has seen. It was despicable and indefensible.
How times have changed. JFK had affairs with numerous women, including a mobster’s girlfriend and Marilyn Monroe. He was on heavy pain medication most of the time. FDR was crippled by polio. Eisenhower had an affair with his wartime driver.
Bill Clinton, ugh, cootie city. The media protected all these men.
Now this skanky skel McGinnis shows up, obviously with some kind of brain abnormality, and he’s absolutely obsessed with a private citizen from Alaska.
Why is destroying her so important to him? What a dark and moldy place his psyche is.
We see that Rice's answer to the question wasn't reported. McGinniss just reported his own crazy-ass question in his book, as if that had any probative value.
For instance: if I asked Palin's Father "how he felt about his daughter stealing cars and setting fire to transsexual hookers", and wrote my question in my tell-all biography it would be much the same sort of thing.
Trollops, LOL
Just keeping y’all aware of this thread, too. If anyone wants on or off (seriously?) the TODD PALIN IS A HUNK! list, let me know.
Sarah Palin snorted cocaine off 55 gallon oil drum and had affairs with NBA star and ...
Read this earlier, but thanks for the ping.
I encourage Freepers to remind every Lib on every message board that Barak Obama was sniffing coke off of Larry Sinclair’s buttocks just before becoming President.....and yes, I have as much proof as anyone leveling charges against Palin.
