Curious. It's been two entire days now, and I haven't seen or heard from Sarah Palin on FoxNews explain how she knew something was wrong as far back as 2007.

“RUSH: Now, on this crony capitalism business. I mentioned this at the top of the program. Sarah Palin jumped on this with Greta last night, the Perry and the Merck thing. She jumped all over, in defense of Bachmann. There’s no evidence that what Bachmann charged Perry with doing happened, and Perry said he can’t be bought for five grand. A cynic could listen to what Perry said, “Well, what is the price?” (laughing) I’m not saying that. Some could. Crony capitalism is when the government is using tax dollars to subsidize a particular industry or company. What Bachmann is accusing Perry of is a quid pro quo. That’s making a decision based on a donation. That’s not crony capitalism. Crony capitalism is what Obama’s doing with GE and Solyndra and that kind of stuff.

That’s not simply a policy disagreement; that’s an accusation of criminal activity that she made, Bachmann against Perry. That’s why this little nervousness that you could see and sense settle through the hall there, changed the whole dynamic. “
She did actually mention him specifically, but it was no worse than the jabbing the candidates did to each other on the stage during their several debates. This is an issue that needs to be vetted. It WILL be vetted as Rick Perry continues in this campaign.
Gardasil happened. It has some issues many will want to consider or check out. Sarah Palin, along with many others to date, has now indicated her concern with the Gardasil situation in Texas.
Had she been standing alongside the candidates on stage for that last debate or the previous debates, she would have had an opportunity to have said exactly what she said, and Rick Perry would have responded I'm sure. I am supporting Rick Perry in his presidential run, but I have no problem with Sarah Palin or anyone else looking at any issue that needs to be looked at, especially since she is a paid political contributor to the television station on which she spoke that night. She had EVERY right to provide her political assessments and analysis.
Let it be looked at, considered, and then we'll all decide what it really was. As far as Sarah Palin goes, she has every right to contribute to current political events since she IS a FOX News contributor, and then if she enters the race, she'll be able to stand on that stage with all her running mates and offer her thoughts and criticisms there as well.

I have been getting dismayed by some of his ignorance on some issues.
Today he was beating his chest and patting himself on the back about NY 9. I shut him off because it had nothing to do with him. It was gay marriage and Israel.

Merck is a huge company, it makes hundreds of drugs, and evidently donates to political campaigns...duh. I wouldn’t be surprised to find many prominent Demorats amongst its recipients over the years. Why would all of the 30k have been focused on one vaccine?

Perry's not my guy, but I don't wish him any ill will. I just don't want to be put in the position where I'm forced to give him my vote again, because there isn't a stronger candidate to support.
