Vitamin D forms in the diet (D2 or D3) aren't that much different in effect, they both metabolize to 25D in the liver. And very few of these studies look at the more active metabolites. Overdosing with with vitamin D has an immunosuppressive effect, which is a pretty risky thing to do. Doc's won't prescribe prednisone, which is similarly immunosuppressive, unless you have something pretty nasty to begin with. Taking the vitamin D equivalent as a daily dose is not a wise idea.

So....what are the “immunosuppressive” symptoms....since I take at least 6000 iu Vit D3 a day on doc’s orders....I’ll be sure and point my doctor/naturapath (yeah, he’s both) who teaches, researches, etc. to what you are citing.
