Donors have contributed $52 million to build the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pa., but $10 million is still needed. Former President Bill Clinton declared Saturday that he and Speaker of the House John Boehner are going to do something about that.

“Since I am no longer in office, I can do unpopular things,” Clinton declared at the end of his remarks at Saturday’s dedication ceremony.

I know it's late, but I can't find one sentence in this article that says Bill Clinton donated one cent.

They need $10 million more to build the memorial, which was 1/4 the cost of his impeachment. Remember all his "legal fees," which were just payoffs to his friends?

I don’t know why he says that would be “unpopular”.

Typical narcissist (as I have posted on earlier threads). He used an ‘opportunity’ to once more draw attention to himself and Hillary.

Using ‘let’s roll’ for self-aggrandizement is insulting. Why didn’t he quietly donate that $10million from his own ill-gotten fortune - earned at the public trough.

Will he never go away?

The whole thing was such a waste of taxpayer's money. Its like the Republican House couldn't count the number of Democrats in the Senate. Live and learn.

Get lost Bill.
He shouldn’t be allowed to be part of anything to do with 9/11.

9/11 was the end result of his policies.
He and his gang should be in jail. But we’re still dealing with his people that gave us this tragedy. Eric Holder. Jamie Gorelick. et.al.

It looks like a lot of showmanship to me. Clinton is still good at that, but not much else.

Exactly. $62 million for a memorial in a corn field?

That’s way out of line and not something our broke government should be subsidizing—or that our GOP house speaker should be teaming up with Clinton on.

Along with taking thousands of acres of land, it gives family and descendants of those lost in the flight exclusive access to part of the memorial. That creation of tiered classes of citizens and the expectations that now our national monuments are dedicated not only to citizens lost in a terrorist attack, but to the family members of such citizens is IMO indicative of a “victim” emphasis that has become an unfortunate part of our culture.

And then there’s the whole crescent design issue...

The only reason he was there is because he thought the town is called “Skanksville”.

Its like the Republican House couldn't count the number of Democrats in the Senate.

It didn't matter how many RATS were there. Once the Senate passed the vote (100-0) to NOT allow witnesses, the whole show was over.

Is this about that #!$#!! “Crescent of Embrace” with the tips of its devil’s horns pointing toward Makkah!!?

It’s the morning of 9-11 and frankly I’m depressed as all get-out. Chrissy Matthews is interviewing some breast-beating liberal as they sing a duet about “what we could have done differently to make them hate us less”.

Answer: dead muzzies hate no more.

Anyway, my wife and I are headed for an observance by the Army Reserve. The Governor & other pols may be present. Maybe THEY will make mention of who did this to us.

Please to note my tagline. Deus vult!

klintoon must be senile. Didn’t he do “unpopular things” while he was in the White House? What a worthless sack. Isn’t he mostly responsible for much of this terrorist crap in that he refused to kill osama bin laden several times? be gone, you putz.

Impeachment was a big mistake. People just couldn’t grasp what it was about, they didn’t realize it was about lies while under oath, they always thought it was Monica. Now that we have a President that is set to destroy U.S., it makes GOP look stupid to talk about impeachment. IMHO.
That is hard to impeach every Rat president

More like, the Republicans in the House did their Constitutional duty, but didn't figure the Senate Democrats would be doing the House's constitutional duty. The Senate didn't do the real trial, they reassessed whether or not it was impeachable, which was the House's job.
