As a former medic I can say that this and other reforms are long over due. the military is so vital and so wasteful. Ask anyone returning from the various combat opps areas about how much is wasted and you hear an earful. The leaders want the folks to have what they need, but to say that nobody is paying attention to details is an understatement. I hear an earful from young sargents and CPO's that come back after being deployed.

Ask anyone about year end spending to "insure we don't lose our budget" Ask anyone about the great hospitals like Brook ARmy and you know what is possible, but it is not possible to do that two or three times in an area the size of Bethesda/Dc. /it is not a rant it is a wish for change a

Are they merging the “Embrace the Sodomy” training as well. I’ve heard the Navy’s program is much more enthusiastic than that of the Army or Marine Corps.

Drango - Thanks for finding and posting. We were wondering how NPR would handle us being there. Apparently from their story, FR fared better than their accounting of how the Army and Navy will get along.

It's nothing like that. This inter branch rivalry has been invented by Hollywood. Air Force pilots are commonly assigned to the Navy for carrier training. And Navy personnel go to medical specialist in other branches hospitals all the time. If they build an "Arny" hospital on a Navy base, it will be staffed with doctors, medics, and "corpse men" and no one will really care.

We have $4.2 Billion to give away to Illegals in tax refunds they cannot receive via law, but we have no money for military hospitals for our nation's heroes.

This nation should hang its head in shame.
