The White House today predicted that unemployment would likely stay above 9 percent through the 2012 election as President Obama campaigns for a second term, and will not drop below 6 percent until 2016.
“In sum, economic growth and job creation, while positive, have not been strong enough to bring down the unemployment rate to an acceptable level,” according to the Mid-Session Review released today by the Office of Management and Budget.
“We are still seeing sustained and steady growth, so we are not forecasting a double dip recession,” Council of Economic Advisers Member Katharine Abraham told reporters on a conference call today.

Which means unemployment will go up. This WhiteHouse is the kiss of death.

That’s a sign that when tomorrow’s figure gets released it’s going to be 9.1% or higher. The WH is trying to be proactive here, IMO.
They can get it below that if they can get another several million to give up looking.

Kill the healthcare bill named Obamacare and normal will return. Hiring thru temp firms for long term assignment has gone thru the roof. That’s because they are exempt from the bill.

Setting the bar at 9% so if it comes in at 8.8%, they can say they beat expectations.

Why thank you Captain Obvious! The brainiacs in the White House always seem to be the last to know what the rest of us have known for over 2 years now. They likely NEVER would have admitted it if not for Obama’s Super Duper Top Secret Most Intelligent Jobs Scheme in the Universe speech on the 8th. THEN it’ll be a “Crisis”. BEFORE it was a “recovery”, but NOW!? Now the world will immediately come to an end if the Republicans do not immediately cave to Obama’s demands.
It will be anything they want because they control the calculation and dissemination by a willing MSM....just remember - every time you drive through town, in the country, in your neighborhoods, keep a watchful eye out for places up for sale, businesses gone away, vacant storefronts, etc. It is not getting better - at least from what I see everyday.
Just the fact of making this public will put a damper on employment.
This is so the media can crow about O’bambi “beating expectations” when the unemployment rate is “only” 8.9 percent on election day.
