Sen Mark Warner Town Hall, Chesapeake Library, Thurs Sept. 1 at 10 AM

Posted on 08/31/2011 11:09:07 AM PDT by Gopher Broke

Senator Mark Warner will be at the Chesapeake Central Library thursday morning from 10 AM till 12:30 entitled "Warner in your Corner" (yeah, right).

I happened to spot the notice in the Sunday Clipper section of the newspaper under meetings. I have seen no publicity about this meeting in any news media and I'm quite sure you wouldn't have known about it unless you're on a democrat email list. I'm certainly not on one of these lists - even though he purportedly represents me in the US senate. I'd recommend this meeting to you where he'll supposedly answer your questions about what he's done for you in the Senate and what he plans for the future (which I hope is no longer than the next election).

Warner has been so elusive to the voters that he would probably welcome the thoughts of some conservatives at his meeting to answer questions about Obamacare, answers he's given to those who've contacted him, and a host of questions about his voting record (yeah, right).

Let's populate this meeting and tell him how pleased we've been with him and his time in the Senate! Get there early so all the seats won't be taken by his friends!

That’s Thursday, as in tomorrow? I hadn’t heard anything about this either - and I cancelled the Virginia-Pravda/Red Star just last month. Unfortunately, I’ll be out of town tomorrow. Have you pinged the Chesapeake Tea Party chapter?

His staff has been very respectful to our Roanoke Tea Party when meeting. Of course that is as far as it goes. Webb’s people are just the opposite.

Chesapeake is possibly the most conservative area in Hampton Roads - especially Great Bridge, where the library is. There are lots of military and ex-military, so this should be good.

All Taxpayers:

It appears that we won’t be blessed with a visit from Senator Warner tomorrow as the Clipper inferred, but instead we’ll get to sound off to one of his many worker bees in his (our) employ. They’ll be fielding questions in lieu of the man himself. What a disappointment! About as satisfying as kissing your sister —— or calling Warner’s office in D.C. At any rate, if you go, you’ll have the opportunity to give high compliments by messenger to the man who has ignored his constituents’ valid questions, voted for bills costing literally trillions of dollars which he hasn’t read, pretended to be a fiscal conservative, then voted the way his boss, Harry Reid told him to vote. He has never been “Warner on our corner”, but always on Obama’s and Reid’s corner.

Maybe you’ll even get one of Warner’s famous form letters thanking you for your interest in contacting his office. At least Webb’s had the good sense to not run for reelection.

Big party at Sen. Warner’s house in Old Town Alexandria this evening - gives new meaning to the term “limousine liberal”. The limousines and drivers are literally lined up and down the streets surrounding his house blocking traffic. People listening to someone speak (couldn’t see who) and much applause - lol. The photo op alone would be priceless.:)
