THE FLASH MOB METHOD OF SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY

August 24, 2011
The definition of hell is being condescended to by idiots. It will probably be MSNBC's Chris Matthews and Contessa Brewer sneering at you for all of eternity for not believing in evolution.

Roughly one-third of my 2007 No. 1 New York Times best-seller, "Godless: The Church of Liberalism," is an attack on liberals' creation myth, Darwinian evolution. I presented the arguments of all the luminaries in the field, from the retarded Richard Dawkins to the brilliant Francis Crick, and disputed them.

But apparently liberals didn't want to argue back.

Despite Matthews' obsessive fixation on the topic, manifested by his constantly asking elected Republicans if they believe in evolution, in a one-hour interview with me on "Godless" -- the very book that is chockablock with attacks on Darwinism -- Matthews didn't ask me a single question about the subject.

No liberal did. Matthews doesn't even know what evolution is.

Just a year later, at a 2008 Republican presidential candidates' debate, Matthews asked for a show of hands of who believed in evolution. No discussion permitted! That might allow scientific facts, rather than schoolyard taunts, to escape into the world.

Evolution is the only subject that is discussed exclusively as a "Do you believe?" question with yes-or-no answers. How about conservative journalists start putting mikes in front of liberal candidates and demanding, "Do you believe in the Bible -- yes or no?" "Is an unborn baby human -- yes or no?" and "Do you believe teenagers should have sex -- yes or no?"

This is the flash mob method of scientific inquiry. Liberals quickly surround and humiliate anyone who disagrees with them. They are baffled when appeals to status (which would work on them) don't work on everyone else.

Now that Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry has said there are "gaps" in the theory of evolution -- or "gas" as The New York Times originally reported, before issuing a correction -- we're in for another round of fact-free mocking of fundamentalist nuts.

I wish Ann would challenge Chrissy to a ‘Throwdown’ on Evolution!

"The definition of hell is being condescended to by idiots."

In my experience, a lot of these idiots actually believe that the TOE explains the origin of life itself (rather than just species). Despite what Darwin himself said about it.

This is an area they’ll continue to attempt to use against candidates like Perry. Problem for them is that many, many voters either aren’t at all convinced of the validity of the TOE, or simply don’t care all that much.

Evolution is the only subject that is discussed exclusively as a "Do you believe?" question with yes-or-no answers.

If something can not be demonstrated, repeatedly, in experiments, I have a hard time calling it "science."

And no, saying that the entire existence of the universe is the "experiment," and the fact that I (for example) exist proves I evolved, is not persuasive.

Don’t ever apply for a job in the Climate Change “industry”, then... you won’t fit in, I’m afraid.

Actually, anthropogenic climate change (or whatever they're calling it this week) is another.

No, I doubt I could even get a job as a typist in climate “science.”

But I’m diligently expanding humanity’s carbon footprint, so people freezing their gazoogles this winter (with oil prices through the roof) can thank me that they’re not even colder!

The proper response to the question "Do you believe in evolution?" is "What do you mean by 'believe?'" and "What do you mean by 'evolution?'"

The questioner is unlikely to know that there are actually several theories of evolution (although Darwinian evolution is the majority opinion among evolutionists), and that "belief" has quite a bit of philosophical ambiguity. Until the questioner defines both words satisfactorily, don't give an answer.

It's... YOU!

You're the one responsible for our record-breaking number of over-100-degree days!

My favorite question for Leftwingtards is how easy a time did they have adapting to life on the workroom floor in the Detroit main post office.

Interesting how often the response is "how did you know about that" rather than "what?".

Detroit PO was used as the final employed destination for many Eastbloc and Russian defectors who had little additional value to the US.

They'd cut them loose as letter sorting clerks or delivery services personnel.

The personnel director's brother was mayor of Detroit and he was a paid agent of the Politboro in Moscow!

I gather it saved the FBI the trouble of tracking them around. For them the "old boss" really was the same as the "new boss".

I found this vehicle in the parking lot of a local Home Depot. Note the "COEXIST" bumper sticker (which basically means that everyone should tolerate them and abandon their own morals) on one side the the fish with legs and DARWIN inside mocking Christianity. And they probably believe themselves the very models of "tolerance".

While I believe in evolution, I think its one of the least significant ideas to consider when choosing a potential leader. I really don’t care of the candidate believes in Utnapishtim or whether he believes in the cosmology of the Dogon tribe of Africa.. I want to know what his principles are about the role of government in the life of the individual.

There was a time when threads on evolution were posted almost everyday and they ran on and on and on. Rather then argue about it is probably better to just agree to disagree on this subject.

If changes in appearance and function of organisms over an extended period of time constitute evidence of evolution, then instances where matter is organized to perform a specific function constitute evidence of intelligent design. There is ample evidence on either side, and a wealth of information to explore and work with. Too bad so many panties get in a twist over different ways to interpret evidence, to the extent it often devolves into demagoguery.
