That’s why bombing cities in advance is usually a bad idea, all it does is turn the entire city into a fortress, the Germans found that out at Stalingrad.

It’s actually easier, but the collateral damage is something NATO probably can’t endure scrutiny about.
Particularly after this operation ends, and the victorious jihadists demand reparations and war crimes trials.
