A New Jersey school district has apologized to parents after requiring high school students to read books that include graphic depictions of lesbian sex and a homosexual orgy. Some of the language is inappropriate, said Chuck Earling, superintendent of Monroe Township Schools in Williamstown, N.J. We were not trying to create controversy. We were just trying to get students to read.

But it is oh so tempting.
More like rubbed out!?
Translated: “We wanted to quietly push gay acceptance on your kids because we didn’t think you’d see it on their summer reading list. You did, so we’ll just say we wanted to get the kids to read.”

Something for the children to read
Isn’t August 23rd a little late in the game to be removing a book from the required summer reading list?
We are not trying to create controversy, we are trying to get students to read? There are some people that are too damned dumb to be involved in the education of youngsters.
It seems to me someone is trying to get a date from a youngster?
I liked “Another night in the Dugout”, a novel by Charlie Moansweat. It was on my summer lesbian reading list. It was about a female softball team who never played a game that didn’t go extra innings, and everyone took a turn pitching and catching.
“New Jersey School District Yanks Lesbian Sex Book From Required Summer Reading List”
Oh I’m sure there was some yanking over lesbian sex
books...probably some monkey spanking too.
Interesting you noticed that :) They get all summer with the list and then call it off just before the school year starts. How convenient.
Not good enough. I want to know WHO proposed putting such material on childrens’ reading lists, and WHY they are still employed, and also WHY they are not being charged crimes such as contributing to the delinquencies of minors.
Child rape = a celebration of diversity.
Leftists are twisted into knots.
Isn't every middle aged woman entitled to the neighbor's teen daughter with a curious coochie snorter? It was the central sweet spot in the play and television one woman stage show.
I’d say the district made sort of a bush league mistake on this one.
Did they pitch high and inside? Did they slide safe at home and score?
That superintendent had better clam up.
We need some TEA partiers to run for the seats on this board and allow some adults to be heard. These people on the current board are morons.
By the way, this is being done in Texas and we are winning a good number of seats.
Other speculation: that he burns down her apartment after she doesn't have sex with him. I don't think there's much substance to either theory, but the lyrics are pretty thin, though the tune is pretty.
There doesn't seem to be that much to the book either. It was probably recommended because it was about young people. I don't know how much of a role lesbianism plays in it. It's not the main theme.
UGH!!!
This book bugged the hell out of me for a few reasons:
#1. There is a somewhat extended passage devoted to a lesbian encounter that wouldn't be so terrible in and of itself, as sex in general is a major topic BUT the novel as a whole leaned towards describing the physiological experience the woman were having and would brush over the mens again and again. There would be like 5 paragraphs on the woman and then 1 sentence were it would say something along the lines of, "she took me in her hand and I came".
GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
It seemed like an exercise in writing (hmmmm, what would it be like to write from the females perspective) more than a contributor factor to the story.
#2. The girls in this book were all needy, dysfunctional, emotional or detached but sexy as all get out while the male was unsentimental, level headed and also sexy.
#3. the main male character had sex with 3 of the girl main characters (as well as countless unnamed characters) and apparently he was FABULOUS at it because 2 of the characters decided that they would never have sex again. that it could never measure up.
OH BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!
Liars...There are millions of books out there to read that do not have lesbian sex scenes in them...
