I'm not suggesting all Republicans are racists nor am I suggesting all Democrats are colorblind. After all, it was the Democrats who passed Jim Crow laws and a Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, who issued the executive order known as the Emancipation Proclamation. I believe the constant race card playing of the Revs. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are counterproductive and I think most people would be shocked to know that the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican.

Only liberals, left-wingers, moon-batters, blacks, lesbians, gays, journalists nominated by gays and lesbians act, make believe as if Could a Black Man Win The GOP Nomination? is one of a philosophical nature but is only merely posed as a prop to disseminate hatred, propaganda, demagoguery. It goes without saying, of course, yes, indeed, indubitably, absolutely, any man, woman can win the GOP nomination for President, if, when, they are eligible, qualified, up to the task. Those that pose questions of such vacuity, transparency are truly stupid no matter how you look at it, that either they actually believe the question to be legitimate, or they believe we think so.

I'm not suggesting all Republicans are racists.... speaks for itself.

I could and would vote for a conservative black in a heartbeat. Conservatives see values and beliefs, liberals see skin color.

Liberals are RACIST.

For all those who log on to ESPN, I’ve seen this ass-clown and his lib articles makes Dan Patrick look like a Tea Party member.

This is the “mandatory” race-baiter on ESPN, who also wrote articles on “why we should be tolerant towards gays in the locker room”..(seriously). Far worse than Jason Whitlock of Fox Sports and his weekly “why can’t there be more black coaches in the NFL” crap.

A better question might be “Will the Democratic nominee be the one most qualified for this position?”. If not, will considerations beyond capability play a role in that eventuality?

Yes, if it’s the right black man.

OTOH, look at the way the party treated Alan Keyes. It was terrible.

Sure a black man could become the Republican nominee for President; all depends on the man and his ideas.

LZ Granderson, who writes a weekly column for CNN.com, has been named Journalist of the Year by the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association.

LOL. That's gay.

Gee, I don't know. Could a black "journalist" get his head out of his ass?

Could a Black Man Win The GOP Nomination?

Not for simply being black.

Hermann Cain cannot win the GOP nomination because he has zero governing experience and has never won an election in his life.

If Hermann Cain were white, he could not win the GOP nomination because he has zero governing experience and has never won an election in his life.

While his experience as CEO of Godfather's Pizza shores up his assertion that he knows how to create jobs, he has never held political office, which makes one wonder if he can create those jobs in a government arena.

Herman Cain became a member of the board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1992 and served as its chairman from January 1995 to August 1996 before leaving to become the a senior economic advisor to the Dole/Kemp presidential campaign.

That said, I don't support Cain, not because he is black, but because of his lack of experience and because he has no political record of doing the things he says he supports. Its not rare for a politician to say he won't raise taxes, and then turn around, and raise them, or say he supports family values, and then turn around, and dump them over the side. I have no way to verify that Cain would actually do what he says, because he has no record of doing the things he says he would do, and to me, the Presidency is not the job, for me to find out if you are going to be a man of your word.

Reagan once said "Trust but verify", since I can't verify, I can't trust Herman Cain. I do have nothing against the man, its simple as that.

I'm not suggesting all Republicans are racists...

I'm not suggesting that LZ Granderson molests chickens. Furthermore, let me say that even men who are healthy heterosexuals routinely do far, far worse things to chickens than what LZ Granderson might or might not do, usually on Thursday nights. Besides, who are we to judge?

We need to put up a black transgendered lesbian Muslim halfwit, just to show these people we're not all racist, gay hating, sexist, Bible-thumping, intellectualist bigots!

If Carole Moseley-Braun and Sheila Jackson Lee ever have a daughter....

No a black man can’t get the nomination. Just go back and read some of the post made against Herman Cain especially when he first announced and you will read some of the most vial and vicious stuff I can remember reading here on FR. Though I will give it to the moderators they delete most of the very worst and they did it quickly. But it has to make one wonder how many thought the same way, but just wouldn’t post that they did.

About forty or fifty years the Dem Party abandoned all sense of sanity and reason and resolved to make Black people perpetual wards of the state. In line with that, there have been a myriad of Black scribblers like Granderson who equate handouts from the state with civil rights. Granderson and virtually all black columnists like him (Cynthia Tucker, Leonard Pitts, Dewayne Wickham, etal) work hand-in-hand to keep black people down. They’re the biggest of drag on the progress of black Americans.
