What I meant was that Perry has that Globalist bent that Rosevelt had, and Palin has the nationalist conservative bent that Taft had.

I see a lot of what happened with Bush with Perry. People are projecting what they'd like to believe he is all about onto him out of sheer desperation to have a "dream" candidate."

. Along with Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter. In the end both of them let it be known that they supported Mitt, but few here have come to grips with that yet.

Our best hope is the Texans here that held their noses and voted for Perry for governor, but know what he really is.

His latest Hate Crimes push should be enough for most.

The S&P downgrade of the U.S. credit rating and especially the collapse of the stock market in August are probably behind the latest decline in Obama's approval ratings.

Trillions of dollars of wealth and savings of ordinary folks disappeared in the last two weeks and they can see the loss starkly portrayed on a chart of the market indices. The gain in the stock market was one of the last remaining indicators that Obama supporters could cling to in order to convince themselves that things are getting better. That has been ripped away now.
