So now the chickens have well and truly come home terrifyingly to roost. The violent anarchy that has taken hold of British cities is the all-too-predictable outcome of a three-decade liberal experiment which tore up virtually every basic social value. The married two-parent family, educational meritocracy, punishment of criminals, national identity, enforcement of the drugs laws and many more fundamental conventions were all smashed by a liberal intelligentsia hell-bent on a revolutionary transformation of society.
Those of us who warned over the years that they were playing with fire were sneered at and smeared as Right-wing nutters who wanted to turn the clock back to some mythical golden age.

Rather than starting in 1980, I would say it emerged from WWII throughout the West.
Hard to argue against. But, that won’t stop the ardent leftists from arguing with it.

The first step in the solution is to accept and loudly proclaim the fact that “liberal intelligentsia” is the very definition of an oxymoron.
The lower classes here and in Britain don't need handouts...they need discipline. And if they don't want to comply, the full force of the state should come down on them strongly. The rule should be: obey the law or suffer the harsh consequences.

Really? Or are we just saying this as a magical incantation, so we don't sound "judgmental"? Is "tremendous job" defined as, "The children aren't out looting this week."?
Are there "many lone parents" whose children go on to make permanent marriages in which the next generation is reared with what were once considered the basic values of civilized people? How many?
Couldn’t we have a charming Helen Thomas picture, instead?
