Sounds like the aviation impasse is due to the dim Senate refusing to allow the house amendment to eliminate the insane stupid subsidy to small airports. Once again, the part of the government that does not work is the part dominated by inflexible dims that can’t adapt to the real fiscal environment, but continuing to live in denial. They will not bend, so they will break.

If we were being led well, no blame on the fighting over the debt limit, the earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc. would ever be needed. Our economic status used to be strong, and we could endure those things - and even be able to help other countries without feeling a crunch.
