Every day it seems new evidence emerges that the “evidence” for global warming has been exaggerated, manufactured or just plain wrong.
Take the case of Charles Monnett of the US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement. On July 18, Monnett -- a longtime poster boy for global-warming orthodoxy -- was put on leave pending an investigation into the “integrity” of his work.

Upon this "endangerment" finding hang all of the EPA's efforts to regulate Greenhouse Gases. If Monnett is discredited, but this finding remains, we will have won nothing.
They’ll just ask for more grant money for some reason.
I noticed the collapse of the hoax hasn’t stopped the government from raising CAFE standards and likely a bunch of other stuff.
The EPA is a hiring hall for leftist incompetents.
The EPA will be pimping global warming 'till the end of time because hundreds of these affirmative action slugs (and other sad sacks) would be fired if it is untrue.

I’ve never met a competent scientist or engineer who buys into the “Global-Warming” theory. I have met many who admit not haviineen adequate evidence and might withhold doubt.
Environmentalism is attractive to the Left for the same reason that Socialism and Communism appeal. The theory, no matter how divorced from rality it may be, is irrestibly attractive to them.
Even if they were right, the costs of their suggested solutions vastly exceed their meager benefits.
Actually they have no answers to their proposed problem. What they want us to do is accept punishment for our sins.
I know one electrical engineer who bought into it for quite awhile.
He was an avid reader of science magazines - and who was I to tell him those magazines can be “spin” too.
A book came along called Red Hot Lies. He had a complete turnabout after that.
I haven’t read that yet, must be good.
IEEE and ASME still officially talk about carbon pollution, but both societies are getting immense pressure from members to back off.
The recent NASA data should be the final nail.
I am in a FB discussion with a liberal environut who is in denial over the deception and falsification of data, and still is toeing the Al Gore line. All she can do is when I posted this is try to shut down the conversation, like the IPCC.
The brainwashing is complete though, and no matter the evidence and facts, she is possessed. I can’t believe the gullibility. The acceptance of a charlatan like Gore. She just doesn’t believe this scam, she WANTS to believe. Bored middle class suburbanite, has to have something to believe in I guess. Maybe this is proof we have it too good. (or she does anyway, and has to have a cause like Hollywood)
Global warming is like a bad horror flick where the creature never really dies.
I was once there. The problem is their entire world view is at stake and it requires hard work to establish a new world view that encompasses she has been lied to about many things. It is a scary time.
It's like the way the media keep going back to the same people to make television even though they're losers who drive away huge audiences. Katie Couric, Rosie O'Donnell, etc., keep getting hired no matter how much damage they do.
The same thing is going on with these "climate scientists." They'll be reincarnated as experts on something else and keep putting their noses in the government trough.
It's the "old boy network."
