I hope this is it, I hate those little squiggly bulbs!
The day the light bulb nazis decided it was THEIR right to tell us how to light our homes, rather than ours was the day this country went from being in trouble to being in danger.
Does this mean I can quit worrying about the stupid curly bulbs in whose light I can’t tell colors apart?
Now can we get an American company to remanufacture them?
The voice vote was to insulate individual Congressmen from the wrath of the environmentalists.
This could be the light at the end of the long tunnel of environazi darkness. May we soon be out of it.
I'm sticking to candles. They were good enough for my great grandma, they're good enough for me.
Romantic dinners at my house daily! burnt food will be unnoticeable!
Darn!! I have stocked up enough to last me, my children, and grandchildren, the rest of our lives, plus enough to have made some good money selling real light bulbs on the black market after the ban.
As a consumer, I'll decide if I want to save MY share of $6 billion a year all on my own you tyrant bass turds!
Maybe if you have to buy those squiggly lights the next big rally in D.C. would have people throwing them on the capitol steps. Or over the fence at the WH ... what are they going to do? Arrest a million people?
The companies could repackage the bulbs as 100W HEAT GENERATORS. Suitable for small spaces to prevent frozen pipes, warm baby chicks and other animals.
WARNING! IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW TO USE THIS HEAT GENERATOR (Formerly known as a light bulb) FOR LIGHTING PURPOSES!
YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!
Wonder if anyone told Joe Biden....his bulb has been running on the dim side for years....
Voice vote? I get the feeling that they are more afraid of the environazis than they are of the tea party people. We need to fix that.
Somehow, I don’t see this getting through Reid’s Senate or Obama’s desk.
But good for the House...2010 did wake them up.
I recommend that you take a box of these poisonous mercury squiggly bulbs to your congress critter’s office in August and ‘accidentally’ drop and break them in the waiting area. See what happens....
This is good, I hope it sticks. The “energy saving” bulbs don’t save anything.
This whole idea was brought on by the same idiots who decided that the bathroom lights need to be on a timer. Guess what? Turning the lights on and off 400 times a day DECREASES bulb life, so it winds up COSTING money, not saving. And it’s real fun to be sitting on the toilet in the dark throwing toilet paper balls to try go get the sensor to turn the lights back on.
I LOVE it.....as Palin said.. “Gold start to the GOP!”
I don’t want to ban either light bulb. Consumers should get to choose which they prefer.
Democrats are only pro-choice when it comes to killing babies.
