Dominique Strauss-Kahn facing second sex charge (IMF leader)
The Telegraph ^ | 7/4/11

Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s hopes of entering the French presidential race appeared to be over after a novelist who described him as a “rutting chimpanzee“ said she would make a criminal complaint of attempted rape.

Tristane Banon, a 32-year-old journalist and writer, will file for charges on Tuesday over an alleged attack in a Paris apartment in 2003 during which she claims Strauss-Khan tried to unhook her bra and open her jeans. Her lawyer, David Koubbi said the complaint would reach the Paris prosecutor’s office by Wednesday.

The announcement came just days after it emerged that the sexual assault case by an American hotel chambermaid against the former International Monetary Fund chief was close to collapse. Strauss Khan was freed from his strict bail terms by a New York court on Friday amid doubts over the alleged victim’s credibility.

That had raised hopes in France that the 62-year-old might make a triumphant return to French politics if acquitted in the US, perhaps even running for president next year for the opposition Socialists.

However, the latest development appears to make that extremely unlikely. France’s Socialist party said on Monday that the idea of Strauss-Khan running for President was now the “weakest” of all possible scenarios for his political future.

In an interview on Monday evening, Miss Banon said she had decided to file her complaint after feeling “sick” watching Mr Strauss-Kahn freed without bail last week and dining in a New York restaurant.

If the figure for reported rape in France is 1 in 10, I wonder what it is in the US?

The rate in the U S is probably even lower, at least for unsuccessful attempts at rape. The police tell you that unless you have proof or a witness, to go home and forget about it.

Looks like they’re sticking to their smear theme. Hillary believes changing anything once she starts something is a sign of weakness (and she thinks this paranoia of hers is invisible, too). She just doubles down and floors it, taking everyone with her right over the cliff. That’s what’s going on here, nothing new. And it will inevitably have the same gigantic mess effect as everything else the moron does.

Yawn.

She wasn't raped!!

And she was pretty dumb to meet with him alone.

I always bring a male employee with me if I have to meet with a male client. And I NEVER put myself in a position where myself and a male client are alone and unable to be seen from the highway and/or by other persons.

I also leave a memo of where I am going and when I sould be back.

I guess all men should get signed agreements before hitting on women just in case it is construed as attempted rape. I can easily see how a two people could go out for drinks, go back to the ladies apartment, along with likely flirting (he was a powerful man...), and he figures she was into him. Seems like a rather reasonable assumption to make.

He reaches for a kiss, and starts to undress her. She bats him off and he leaves. How is that rape?? It sounds like a miscommunication issue regarding her lack of interest. Rape would be if she batted him off and said no, and he then continued.

Geeez, how many men would be charged with rape if a "move" was construed as rape. Like I said, all men should get signed contracts nowdays.

“Nine years ago already...”

Yes, that seems a long time. Do not the French have statutes of limitation?

And for all we know he DID attack the woman in NYC, it is just that she herself is so corrupted the DA could NEVER put her on the stand. Without her there is no case, it doesn’t mean there is no crime.

There are some very lurid charges swirling about this “maid”. Which at first makes you think “how could she be lying?” when the risk to her was so great.

But then you think “maybe she is just a corrupt professional liar” which makes you think it’s likely she did lie, because she had gotten over on the American “authorities” so many times.

I hope the DA is not totally spooked on this and investigates this woman, her union, etc.

Because if a union is running a whore ring at high end NY hotels with illegals working as pros, well I’d like that stopped, thank you very much, and I’d like the illegal whores DEPORTED.

Thank you.

And, as for whore monger DSK, convictable or not, he can stay out of the USA from here on in as an “undesirable”. We’re stuck with Bill Clinton, Eliot Spitzer, etc. We’re all stocked up on whore mongers.

Limits...Sexual assault is 3 years. Rape is 10 years. It depends how it gets classified.

Let's be real. She was 23. He was about 55. She was able to "beat him" off.

And the NYC maid wasn't raped either....and escaped....and he was now 65.

If you don't think BOTH of these girls were flirting....with this well known Frenchman....you're kidding yourself.

So many questions....with no answers....

This is a French hotel and the employees all speak French and English.

I'm sure Mr. Kahn is well known and that his picture appears regularly in the lobby newspapers.

Think French!! In fact, the Americans who stay there said they sometimes find it annoying.

I'm not sure they're Union. Do you think Trump is Union?? I doubt it but I'm going to find out.

At this rate, look for Prince Von Anholt to lodge a claim soon.

“She was able to “beat him” off.”

That’s right. So the most she’s got is attempted rape or maybe sexual assault.

Too bad, but maybe these experiences will shorten his leash.
