I’m not especially surprised and I’m especially enthusiastic, either. Another quasi-RINO in the herd. Just what we need.

Maybe so, but he’s a much nicer person and, believe it or not, has done a lot for Texas. We have a GREAT economy in comparison to the rest of the country and I believe his leadership helped get us here.
That said....I would rather keep him as governor and vote for Palin, West, Cain or Bachmann for president!
BTW...Texas ping!

If he can beat Obama, I’m in.

Exactly. Rick and Rudy are law partners. They are political cronies. They are friends from way back. But if Rick knows what’s best for his presidential ambitions...
He will throw Rootie Tootie under the bus.

That is one of the stupidest things ever posted on Free Republic.

Texas State Budget Surplus as other states look for handouts
Jun 7, 2009
While California, New York, Florida, Michigan and Ohio make painful choices higher taxes, spending cuts Texas has a surplus topping $11 billion.
Compare that to Bush, who added four trillion to the deficit with his reckless spending.

Partners. Maybe not law partners. But business partners.
Google Bracewell & Giuliani. Do your research on how Perry and Giuliani have struck many a deal. Both politically and professionally.
