Keith Olbermann's new show debuts on Al Gore's Current TV on Monday. Like his old show on MSNBC it will be called Countdown, and it will feature much of the same staff. And, judging by the ad released yesterday by Current, it will also include many of the other trappings of the old show: hubris, paranoia, finger-pointing, and doom-saying. (Not that you expected anything less when you heard Gore and Olbermann were going to get together). The suffocatingly self-serious ad features Olbermann awkwardly avoiding a censor box as he speaks. "The free flow of information has been thwarted, dissenting voices silenced, and for every story there's a flurry of heavily biased corporate-sponsored spin that can distract even the most engaged viewer," he warns. "And every day we're left with a bit less clarity. Until now."
Oh, and as if that wasn't enough: They just announced they've hired Rolling Stone polemicist Matt Taibbi as a contributor.

Gee and I thought MSNBC was the bottom of the sewer,guess not. Congrats to Olberman for sinking all the way to the bottom and then some..hahah

I saw an ad for his show on the O’Reilly Factor! The commercial is the most attention he will get and he had to pay it.

Who needs an ad? I’ve hated that clymer Olberman since he was at ESPN.
I love to hate Olbermann, and MSNBC has lost a lot of its entertainment value since they canned that azz-hole. Sgt. Schlitz and his clone Stink Yugo just don’t have the laugh value Olbie had.
Well, so much for Al Gore’s idea of Current TV being “nonpartisan.”
I saw an ad for Olberdorf’s show this morning on Fox and Friends...sheesh!
Are ratings even done on Gore-Net?
Forgive my ignorance of Algore’s TV venture’s financials but what moron at what company would buy an ad on that show?
What the heck is CurrentTV? I’m pretty sure I have 7 trillion stations to chose from and I’ve never once noticed this channel.
Is this the guy that has orgasm every time he hears the “Divine One” speak? Is he a homosexual that is still in the closet?
Its pretty scary to think algore won the popular vote.

Considering that Current TV’s highest rated ‘The Rotten Tomatoes Show’ was canceled after one season. I doubt very much that Olby will make it past Christmas.

That description is more fitting for Chris Matthews, the “tingly leg” goof on MSNBC. Olberman loves only Olberman, and would walk over his own mother to kiss a picture of himself.
