Depends on whether or not you loved the guy enough, I suppose. Granted my name isn’t Weiner, but I’d have trouble with a woman who wouldn’t invest in the marriage enough to take my name.

You know, in that part of Brooklyn (as well as all of New York and my old stomping grounds in NJ), “Weiner” is not that unusual a name. It’s been a long time since Jews felt compelled to Anglocize their names, so you get a lot of odd-sounding German-Jewish names. I went to high school with at least 2 “Weiners” and other strange names. Of course, my own name was kinda weird, too, lol.
