Tea Party Express preemptively surrenders gun rights to RINOs
National Examiner ^ | June 6, 2011 | David Codrea

Posted on 06/06/2011 8:11:56 PM PDT by Neil E. Wright

“The Tea Party will support whoever wins the GOP presidential nomination - - even if that person is former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney,” Fox News reports. “That's the affirmative word from Tea Party Express chair Amy Kremer.”

What does that mean for gun owners?

Despite attempts to put on a public face that belies his record (with assistance provided courtesy of NRA management on more than one occasion), Romney has sided with the gungrabbers when he’s had the power to do so.

How does one “support the Second Amendment” and then square that with imposing an “assault weapons” ban, ending private sales and the Brady bill? And who would be dumb enough to actually fall for such self-serving and contradictory weasel words?

Kremer’s white flag-waving before any shots have been fired fits right in with an admonition Romney made last year that disaffected voters surrender to the Republican establishment and just accept whatever the party serves up for them. And that’s the message being spread by the GOP leadership, in its recent call for unity to trump “purity.”

She does not speak for me. I will not vote for a RINO again, even if it means that His Oneness is re-elected.

Let me repeat: I will NEVER vote for a RINO again.

TPE is that bus that drove around the country about a year ago. Just one voice among many.

I don’t see what this is all that good for Romney.

The one candidate singled out for being awful is Romney.

The other part of the sentence was “and we’re going to work as hard as possible to make sure that Romney is not the nominee. But we would support him if he was the nominee.

I don't think Romney will be the nominee, and I don't support him. But I will vote for him over Obama.

All of you people saying otherwise are nuts. I literally do not think the Republic will survive another four years of Obama. Thankfully, the 2nd Amendment movement is so strong that even a gun prohibitionist like Obama has to play make believe and say he's pro-2A.

She can’t speak for the “tea party” she can speak for the group called “the tea party express”

I hope I am not forced with the choice of Romney or Obama. I am not sure how I’d vote at this point.

Minnesota does not have a none of the above that I recall. But There is the write in line.

Ok - I didn't like Mitt to begin with, but now he's officially an enemy. No Romney.

That’s right..and she’s still sending robo-e-mails. The latest she attempted to find out who I am...in order to address me personally.

The fact she had to skirt the internet to do that puts a real bad taste in my mouth...I know she did that by the name she used when addressing her latest e-mail to me. She got it wrong but doesn’t know that yet. BTW she’s not real bright either.

so just to let you know when the lady is pushed, as I’ve been pushing her, she will put her people to work to find out who you are.

“The Tea Party will support whoever wins the GOP presidential nomination - - even if that person is (awful) former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney,” - Amy Kremer

She’s announcing who the most unacceptable candidate is. And it isn’t someone we like. Although no one person speaks for everyone, the idea that we’ll support the eventual nominee isn’t really a bad thing.

That’s like saying, “it’s not rape rape.” It is a bad thing and I won’t vote for a Rhino. I won’t throw in with the Godless. I won’t come under their judgement with them. I’ll stand with God. But you have free choice to sell out and throw your lot with them.

Huh? It’s just a very common political saying that you’ll support the nominee. If we can get all the various RINO organizations whatever they may be to say they’d support the nominee, we’re good. It doesn’t mean that anything she said obligates you to vote for someone you don’t want to.

I love the Tea Party movement, goals, motives and people. However, just as I have never used the term RINO I have never described myself as a Tea Partier. This is the whole reason - the Tea Party’s general loyalty to and trust in the GOP.

The GOP is the Trojan Horse for all conservatives and indeed anyone who loves the concepts of limited government and personal freedom. As long as it is assured that conservatives will support it, the GOP will betray conservatives as a matter of preference, policy, routine and an institutional ability to even comprehend our views. The lesser of two evils, the establishment GOP remains, for all of that, an evil.

No, we’re not good if the nominee is a Rhino like windsock Mitt that the article says is supported. We might as well just all go register dem. then. Supporting a Rhino is voting dem.
