Tea Party Express preemptively surrenders gun rights to RINOs
National Examiner ^ | June 6, 2011 | David Codrea

Posted on 06/06/2011 8:11:56 PM PDT by Neil E. Wright

“The Tea Party will support whoever wins the GOP presidential nomination - - even if that person is former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney,” Fox News reports. “That's the affirmative word from Tea Party Express chair Amy Kremer.”

What does that mean for gun owners?

Despite attempts to put on a public face that belies his record (with assistance provided courtesy of NRA management on more than one occasion), Romney has sided with the gungrabbers when he’s had the power to do so.

How does one “support the Second Amendment” and then square that with imposing an “assault weapons” ban, ending private sales and the Brady bill? And who would be dumb enough to actually fall for such self-serving and contradictory weasel words?

Kremer’s white flag-waving before any shots have been fired fits right in with an admonition Romney made last year that disaffected voters surrender to the Republican establishment and just accept whatever the party serves up for them. And that’s the message being spread by the GOP leadership, in its recent call for unity to trump “purity.”

>> Tea Party Express chair Amy Kremer

Ms. Kremer can take a flying leap. I don’t remember endorsing her in any manner whatsoever.

These cretinous RINOs have never spoken for me and never will. How ‘bout you guys?

I can’t figure out if it’s old age making me cranky or RINOs.

Amy DOES NOT speak for the Tea Party. The Tea Party is lots of relatively small groups of people scattered all over the country. There is not a national Tea Party organization.

Amy is chair of the Tea Party Express. That’s it. She speaks for no one but them.

She sure as hell doesn’t speak for me.

Fox news needs to get educated.

FREE REPUBLIC WILL NOT SUPPORT ROMNEY!

We're on a Mission from God.

This nation's troubles started when God was removed from the public square.

We will only restore our Republic with a candidate who yells that ALL OF OUR RIGHTS ARE INALIENABLE AND COME FROM OUR CREATOR!

RUN, SARAH RUN!

No single person can possibly speak for a movement like the tea party - and Mitt will not get a lot of tea party support. But really, that headline is a big melodramatic and misleading.

The Tea Party Express has about the proverbial fifteen minutes to fix this, to remove this woman (I can’t see any other way) before this turkey is done. Stick a fork in it.

The tea party itself, tea partiers will just shrug dead weight off and move on, because that’s what they, we, do. There are too many real issues in front of us to waste much time dealing with whatever kind of idiocy Kremer represents.
