WASHINGTON (AP) - A White House official says Michelle Obama is heading to Africa on an official visit later this month, stopping in South Africa and Botswana where she'll continue her efforts to encourage young people to get involved in their societies.
The first lady also will visit Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa and Gaborone, Botswana during the June 21-26 trip.
The official said Mrs. Obama's visit will highlight the important stake the U.S. has in the success of Africa's many nations, as well as the historic connections between the American people and those who live on the African continent. President Barack Obama's late father was Kenyan.

If this mission were necessary,it would come under the auspices of either the Secretary of State or the Vice President. Certainly not a job for a First Lady. She should be out weeding that Native American garden she just planted about this time. LMAO at that Photo-op.
Neither her nor her husband care a damn about those they use nor this country. They have been on vacation most of the past 2 plus years at our expense. They have a sense of entitlement that no former first lady and president ever had or could come close to.

She and all her fellow America/capitalism/free enterprise-haters could be the new ‘pilgrims’ to Africa. They should start fresh in Africa, their “homeland” (they describe them selves African-American so this is NOT racist).
Just stay there and create the utopia they want if they’re so damn smart. Leave United States of America alone and fundamentally transform the place of their roots with their oh-so-special ideas.
