OK People. Another opportunist. He stood on the sidelines for a dozen years and NEVER stepped up. Now the seat is open and he thinks that he can just walk into the Senate as if he's entitled. I hope the primary voters think otherwise.

Yeah, where was he in 2010 when it looked like we couldn’t come up with a viable candidate against Feingold? Well, Ron Johnson stepped up and cleaned Feingold’s clock. I hope that Paul Ryan does the same to Thompson...

Forgot to mention. My hope is that Scott Walker decides to run after only 2 years as Governor. Hear me out. He gets past the ‘recall’ and then decides to rub his opponents noses in it by declaring that he will run. Give the Wisconsin voters a THIRD chance to show their approval of him. That way the Lt. Governor moves into the office. She’s just as conservative. It will be a win-win-win.

Ping for your opinion. This may discourage Feingold from a comeback. If there wasn’t a “name” Republican running, Feingold may have thought he could steal this one.

You had your chance.
I probably sent you money the last time.

Not again.

We need the best and most courageous people where it most matters and where they can make most significant impact on the war against socialist tyranny.

The federal government is NOT the place to make our stand, the STATES are where we will win this war. Walker needs to stay in his state and continue to pummel the F out of the socialist CS’ers there. The STATES are the front lines of this war and THAT is where you want your fighters.

Oh.. and BTW... Tommy is a F’ing RINO. While its imperative that we keep our best fighters in the states, we should at least send LOYAL soldiers to the fedgov. We need people there to act in our interests by sabotaging and disrupting the enemy in their capitol city. It makes no sense to send a weak minded man who will betray us at every turn.

I agree. Too old, too entitled. Wisconsin deserves better.

I have major qualms about Tommy Thompson running now. He was a great Governor but a feeble Presidential candidate and his record at HHS left something to be desired. Also, he’s 70 y/o, isn’t he? He hasn’t won an election since 1998. Not being from Wisconsin, I don’t know how much name I.D. he still has.

What is Thompson’s stance on ObamaCare?

“What is Thompson’s stance on ObamaCare?”

Unless he's lost all his conservative marbles, he's against it.

Good point about not winning anything since 1998. I remember the days of Thompson and Engler being mentioned as possible POTUS candidates (not counting T.T.’s blink-of-an-eye run in 2008).

Personally, I don't have a problem with him being 70 y/o. The Senate shouldn't be a cradle to grave (Thurmond, Kennedy, Byrd, etc.) appointment. If he has a productive term, good for all of us.

Thompson’s people are saying he’s against Obamacare.

The Club for Growth is attacking him, saying he was for it.
