So Big Sis doesn’t think there isn’t a huge psychological impact on the terrorists, especially since they thought bin Laden was hidden safely away out of reach of the Great Satan. Then comes the shock of knowing that the Great Satan also has all the note, plans and and possibly names lists of all of their operations. If the US can now start capturing and/or killing the rest of their leadership. Personally, I think the bad guys took a collective crap in their pants when they realized that bin Laden became and ex-terrorist.

Wars are fought on both strategic and psychological battlefields. This one in particular, since our enemy can only win on the latter. All along, we've needed to display our anger, and lack of fear.
The question in war is never did this or that action make you safer, but did putting a bullet in the head of the symbolic and operational leader of your enemy cause potential replacements to think twice about attacking us again?
