That's what Barack Obama told the nation over the weekend.
"I do not have time for this silliness."
The "silliness" he was talking about is the question of his own eligibility for the presidency.
Yet, there he was Saturday night at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner spending more time in a soliloquy about just that issue.
Which is it? Does he have time for it? Or doesn't he? Does he have time to prepare and deliver remarks about the controversy? Or doesn't he? Does he have time to obsess over it? Or doesn't he? Or is it a matter of time at all?
Perhaps what Obama really means is that he doesn't have time to be responsive to the continuing concerns about this pressing constitutional and public confidence issue. Perhaps what he means is that he doesn't enjoy being held accountable to the people and the rule of law. Perhaps what he means is that he sees this issue becoming a political liability for him. Perhaps what he means is that he doesn't enjoy being held to the same standards as other Americans.
He surely doesn't mean that he evaded his responsibility to the law and the will of the people for two-and-a-half years because of a lack of time.
Once Obama determined to release the document last week, it took Obama a matter of days to secure what he and his supporters claimed alternatively wasn't available, wasn't relevant, wasn't necessary, didn't exist or had already been released.

Obama was quite smug in his appearance on Saturday night. So smug and arrogant that I don’t think he was only attacking Donald Trump.
Instead, he was buttering up the media so that they would accept the fake story about Osama’s death that Obama knew that he would float the following day.
Yes our very own 3rd world Kenyan dictator was smug and in charge during the Trump roast because he had the Osama intel. A despot that would lie about and forge documents regarding his own life would with no problem and with great ease lie about the death of an American enemy like bin Laden.
Even more troubling is that the MSM is playing along with Obama not only on the birth certificate but also the alleged death of bin Laden.

I thought he was really funny especially the “Lion King” video and his birth. This event is meant to be funny and anyone who takes it seriously is an idiot. Seth Myers was hilarious. Trump sat there like a bump on the log. Michele laughed her butt off on her joke which was pretty cute. I hope that we have Michele as the President and not conceited “can’t take a joke” Trump. The jokes about Trump having to make hard decisions on who to fire on the Apprentice were hilarious. It was a great show all around....of course I did not watch the show live but on the internet and only Seth and Obama’s portions which were very good. Satire is here everywhere on Free Republic on many threads and that is what this night is all about. We loved it when President Bush had his nights. We should love it when President Obama laughs at himself too which he did. The teleprompter movie was pretty funny.

Funny? Funny how? What’s funny about it? Let me understand this, you think the president is funny, does he amuse you?

Really? That is nonsense. Anyway, I thought it was hilarious when President Bush participated in the Press Nights and I find it hilarious now. Just because I don’t like the guy does not mean I can’t find anything funny about the evening. Your comments are really outrageous and inaccurate. He will not declare martial law. It will never happen. And there will be no detention camps. Sorry to disappoint you.
If Obama declares martial law, I would vote against him.

McCain was born in a civilian hospital in Colon, Panama. Strictly speaking he did not meet the natural born citizenship criteria.
So, a deal was struck between the Republicans and Democrats not to make an issue of the natural born clause of the Constitution for either McCain or Obama.
The press keep the pressure on the McCain eligibility issue nearly all the way to election day to deflect scrutiny from Obama’s eligibility problem.
The release of Obama’s Certification of Live Birth in June 2008 was part of the deception.
The deception continues today as does the strange silence of our political elites.
In my opinion, complicity and acquiescence in 2008 explains today’s willful ignorance by the political elites and the main stream media.

If you are not aware today Gary Kreep is before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals giving 10 minutes of oral arguments.
If this statement by Kreep is true, Obama is a NATURALIZED citizen at best...
