An otherwise casual question has turned out to be one of the most elusive and divisive questions of the young 21st century: where was Barack Obama born? The left despises those who ask the question. Some on the right ridicule those who raise the issue, while a sizeable number of Americans are insisting that Obama was born outside of the US and hence he is ineligible to be president.
Whether intentionally or not, they are either missing or distorting the real issue. An inquiry to Obama's birthplace should be viewed in light of the sheer weight of the position he holds: a national and world leader. If the job involved were a county-level clerk position, questions about Obama's personal history would indeed be less relevant and a distraction. Instead, what is at stake here is the America's future. Voting for someone to be US President is akin to mortgaging the nation's future to that individual. As such, knowledge of the background of the person is essential. Even taking out a low dollar mortgage loan requires a diligent, proper, and thorough review of the applicant's historical financial information. As the recent years have shown, when basic principles of prudent lending were abandoned, financial crisis ensued. Is this an foreshadowing of Obama's presidency?
Which brings us to the real issue in the saga of Obama's birthplace mystery: character and trust. Obama's principles and paradigms of thinking, which guide his leadership and policy making, are not independent from his character. This is because character, which can be understood as the moral qualities unique to an individual, defines who a person really is and reveals his moral purpose, exposing the kind of actions and policies he chooses and avoids. Why does the author of this piece leave out the more
important question...Is Obama a NATURAL BORN citizen?
I don’t know but that subject seems to elude most everybody, maybe because the Constitution doesn’t define it...or maybe because of the obviousness of Obama’s disqualification by virtue of having a non-citizen supposed father-—that has to make any observer scratch his head, “How could Obama get away with that?”
Or maybe they just enjoy jabbing Obama about something that clearly seems to annoy him. And the mystery factor-—what could be on those documents that he doesn’t want us to see?
Well, just as the problem with fire is that it will burn down a wood house, Obaba should be viewed in context of what he is doing for or against America.
A fair and objective analysis of Obaba would conclude he is an enemy agent sent as sort of a Trojan Horse to damage if not destroy America. Thus logically concluding he is an enemy of America.
I think at this point the going on the defensive on the part of the HI government and perhaps even some democrats in the House is now more to protect themselves from possible fraud and wrong doing more than it is to protect Obama.
I think if we knew what really happened, more than Obama would be in trouble.
I think the author was just focusing on one aspect of the issue. Trust.
At the very least there may be nothing wrong with Obama’s BC and his goal is to nullify the US Constitution by ignoring the eligibility requirement just as he did going to the UN and ignoring US Congress before going to war with Libya.
That’s just one possibility. I suspect (like many) there’s much more to the BC than that though.
I just want him to be FORCED by whatever means to come clean.

And to think that HE is talking about immigration reform and possibly signing an executive order to make it happen. In reality he should recuse himself from the issue.
The truth will come out but the harm this poser has done will take years to over come and in the end—many people may lose their lives. He will change the nation—he has all ready—into something less than it was. His arrogance and the help of the MSM have kept him in power and will do so for the next six years. After a study of how things are going—I believe the fix is in and Obama will be re-elected. Who ever the GOP selects will be made into one of three things: A) a joke, B) a tottering old fool or C) a racist religious nut job. Be ready to see a 3rd world USA. Word of advice to all: Start taking lessons in how to speak Chinese.
I already know enough about his character. Let’s see the BC and other documentation so we can see to what extent the American people have been duped.

Line tonight from the White House per CNN was: “If we show it they’ll just move the goalposts and want something else or say it’s a forgery. Those who don’t believe he was born here will never be convinced.”
That’d be a decent response if it were like the 422 people who say we never landed on the moon. Or the 5-10% of Democrats who believed George Bush blew up the levees.
Ignoring 62% of the country? That’s a “fringe element”?
The calculation is Obama suffers less political damage with the questions, lawsuits, news reports, birther research continuing than if he were to just show the damn thing.
Honestly I’d like to see it and move on. Even the CNN hosts are getting to the “just show the birth certificate so we can cover something else” point.
they are trying to make the only issue to be about the location of his birth. this is an attempt to get people ready to move on... when the birth location has been verified.
we must insist those in the media stay honest (good luck) and explain how the birth location is one of the two issues required to prove eligibility.
the second being... what citizenship(s) did each parent hold at the time of his birth.
if they weren’t BOTH American citizens, then 0bama cannot be a natural born citizen

The question isn’t really where was he born. The question is; why is he hiding his LFBC?
Me too. BUT if it's proven that it's really "missing" and not in HI it will be then that I will strongly believe that his original longform is sitting in a hospital in some other nation.
Up to now I still suspect he's just hiding something in the BC.
I told my wife last night that this is really a tip of the iceberg. More importantly, where is all of his historical papers? We know more about Sarah Palin and where she attended college then we know about Obama. How did he manage to go to Harvard, then Columbia when his folks didn’t have any money? What was his grade point average and what did he write his term papers on?
Very little is known about Obama and the media for some reason has more interest in knowing about a Republican Vice Presidential candidate then they do about the Democratic President.
I will also add that it doesn’t help for Republican journalists to say it doesn’t matter.
He is covering Obama's policies and how they are hurting America.
Foreign policies that are helping Islam and Muslim Brother Hood, are Anti-Israel and destabilizing the Middle East.
Fiscal and Energy Policies that are draining our wallets an crippling the country.
Yet insists there are more important issues than vetting Obama's background.
What about Auntie and Grandma back in Kenya who say they are EYEWITNESSES to Ob’s actual BIRTH???
