WASHINGTON -- Donald Trump's stock is rising.

Trump was tied for first place with Mike Huckabee in his debut yesterday in the Gallup poll of Republicans' choices for the 2012 presidential nomination.

Both garnered 16 percent from registered Republicans.

Trump's popularity was buoyed by strong support among liberal and moderate Republicans, who, unfortunately for Trump, are typically outnumbered by conservatives 2 to 1 among GOP primary voters.

Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor who now hosts his own show on Fox News Channel, had a commanding lead among conservative Republicans, 18 percent to Trump's 13.

Trump carried moderate/liberal Republicans 21-13 percent over Huckabee.

In the survey of all Republicans, they were trailed by Mitt Romney (13 percent), Sarah Palin (10), Ron Paul (6), Newt Gingrich (6) and Michele Bachmann (4).

Awesome….Trump Supports Taking Private Property Of Citizens

“But the fact is, if you have a person living in an area that’s not even necessarily a good area, and government, whether it’s local or whatever, government wants to build a tremendous economic development, where a lot of people are going to be put to work and make area that’s not good into a good area, and move the person that’s living there into a better place — now, I know it might not be their choice — but move the person to a better place and yet create thousands upon thousands of jobs and beautification and lots of other things, I think it happens to be good.” - Donald Trump(Fox News, 7/19/05)

The Liberal Media stories....then regurgitated by GOP Media and some FReepers....seem to not have worked on cooling down Trump

GOP needs to stop attacking Birthers. You cannot win elections attacking the base

Where in the world is Huckabee getting all this support? I sure don’t see it out there - anywhere! Nor do I see it among conservatives I know!

Interesting. I got a call from Gallup the other day and went through the survey. Neither Palin nor Bachmann were on my list of choices.

Rudy Giuliani was in “full Gallup” this time in the 2007 Gallup Poll. Rudy led the GOP polls with McCain 12 points behind. Oh and Hillary was thrashing Obama with her 53% to his 41%

http://www.nationalpolls.com/2008/polls/Gallup-National-Polls-April-2007.html

So what does that tell you? Polls this far out when we haven’t even had Debate #1 yet tell you nothing.

Unless the Conservative candidates state to give as good as they are getting I will vote for Trump in the primary. I like his attack style and want a candidate with some FIRE in the BELLY!

Trump's popularity will continue to rise as he has borrowed the Reagan play book which is to give no quarter to weakness.

A recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A depression is when you lose yours. Recovery begins when obama loses his.

Trump will wrap up the nomination very early and it will totally p o the leftist media because they won’t be able to select our nominee.

I wish he were a strict conservative of long-standing but at the moment I will be more than happy just to see a loyal American inaugurated.

Well, I guess you’d consider me a “born again”, with lots of B.A. friends, and still know no one who supports him. But then, I’m not in the religious or ‘Babtist’ circles either.

Have known well about a dozen SB pastors - and the ‘SBP’ syndrome is not one that I trust. Their seminaries infect them with some very dangerous attitudes, IMHO.

However, I do have a number of FORMER SBP’s who are very good friends.....

Ok, here come the flames...... ;-)
