Republican strategist Karl Rove says President Barack Obama is taking delight in the fact that Donald Trump is pressing so hard for him to produce his birth certificate, because thats exactly what Obama wants conservatives to do. Speaking to Sean Hannity Thursday on his radio show, Rove also questioned Trumps conservative credentials.
Hannity started the interview by asking Rove why he was going after Trump.
Well, I think Trumps got a thin skin I dont think Im going after Trump, Rove said. A guy who says that he doesnt know what Ronald Reagan is hiding behind his smile, and calls George W. Bush an evil president, comes out for Canadian-style universal healthcare in his book, he calls for raising taxes on millionaires and the wealthy I mean, not exactly a strong conservative.
Well, look, I thought he had a shot if he came out as a successful businessman, and said I am worried about jobs, the economy, the deficit, debt, spending, Rove continued. But he came out and said: I think Obama was born in the United States [but] began review of his birth certificate and then he became more paranoid and obsessive since then.
Now he has sent his private investigators to Honolulu, and says he doesnt think Obama was born in the United States of America thats exactly what Obama wants conservatives to do, he added. The constitutional requirement is that you have to be a United States citizen, and by implying, saying, suggesting Obama is not a United States citizen, he is suggesting he was born somewhere else.

It's something he has consistently done. He was slobbering all over Rudy Giuliani in the last election. He has had Mitt Wit on his show on a regular basis. He seems to love Michael Steele.

And, Hannity that did more to get Arnold Schwarzenegger elected than any other media figure.
The real question is, would he give us a David Souter or Sandra Day O'Connor?
” ...would he give us a David Souter or Sandra Day O’Connor?”
Excellent question. Through the debate season, I would hope that all the potential candidates will be questioned about their thinking when it comes to SCOTUS nominations in particular. On that score, Bush 43 was the best of the recent GOP presidents. Reagan was 1 for 3; Bush-41 got 1 of 2 but Bush-43 was 2 for 2.
hmmmm....
I agree completely. Get Obama out any way we can. Right now Trump has the best chance. If we get Obama out we have a chance to get some good things done. If Obama beats us we are in for a really rough time.... much worse than the last few years
