Witnesses say live rounds, tear gas used in pro-democracy rally in Damascus; forces fire at protesters in Hama trying to reach ruling Baath Party headquarters; 1000s call for overthrow of Assad regime.

Security forces shot dead at least 49 pro-democracy protesters in Syria on Friday, including one boy, a prominent activist said, making it the deadliest day since anti-government protests began last month.

They were killed in suburbs and towns surrounding Damascus, in the central city of Homs and in the southern town of Izra'a, two established Syrian human rights organizations keeping a tally of civilian deaths told Reuters.

That's funny, PIAPS is not advocating NATO air strikes in Damascus.

There must no be any way of her making money of of that — so who is paying her for Libya?

The loss of Syria to Iran would deal a terrible blow to their scheming in the region. Lebanon would follow and the Palestinians would lose their ability to easily get munitions and explosives.

Of course, this is why our Dear Leader will not lift a finger to help these people.

Syria would be a legitimate war drawing in Iran. Obama is to chicken-**** and beholden to the muzzies to make a move her. Look at how he reacted to the legitimate Iranian uprising.

Syria and Iran are already in caliphate mode. He needs Egypt and Libya to get into caliphate mode. That’s why he acted on those two and not Syria and Iran.

Indeed it is. The many factions across the country that used to stay in their own places seem to be gathering into cohesive groups. The little Lion’s security apparatus is going to become bogged down in due time. Now with the fifty year law being lifted they (Syrian subjects) are going to go ape.
